I asked US Soccer today, "How will I know if you did NOT receive my fax then?"
Response:
>If you haven't received an email from us by Monday confirming your order
>or asking for additional information, drop us a line.

I then asked "whom should I contact?"
Response:
>You should forward this email to tickets@ussoccer.org on Monday if you
>haven't heard anything by then. Good luck.

Hope this helps any of those who have questions still...

I know were dealing with teh Keystone Cops here, but their literature stated that we'd get a notice confirming RECEIPT of our orders within 2 days. Should I then not begin to worry if I don't receive e-mail confirmation until monday? I thought we were supposed to know by Wednesday, Thursday latest? Plus what are they going to do for me on Monday?

They also said that they anticipated the number of faxes coming in

Apparently I was one of the first BSers who got the application through the fax. But so far I haven't heard anything

That's good to know, Palermo. Will you please post when you do hear something? That way the rest of us can guage the point at which we must start the nervous waiting game once  again.

Yes - I will pretty much be waiting by my computer, aside from a few hours dedicated to work, study, and sleep :)

That is true... US Soccer did say they would confirm within 2 days. What I left out of my post was the long scenario involving my fax being "sent" (I use that term very loosely, as there is some question to what if anything they received, hence my question to them). So, his response about contacting them on Monday was in regards to this. I believe the response from him stated "IF you do not hear from us...", implying that some WOULD hear from them.

I just hope I am one of them.

Just received my e-mail confirmation from US soccer. According to my fax report, my ticket request was sent at 3:05 PM CST. No guarantee of tickets obviously, but at least confirms that faxes were being received.

Here's what I got at 6:16pm, pacific time:

HOLY COW! Good for you. I was one of the early ones to get through on fax yesterday too, yet I haven't seen a confirmation so far.

With as many issues as I had faxing (would get one or two pages through then it would hang up) I will really be sweating it until I do!!!

My fax went through at 12:25pm central time, so I would assume this puts me at like 90% chance of getting tickets.

My number is also just a little bit over 1000, which I think means they started counting at 1000. That would make a lot of sense for 25 minutes after the lines opened.

My number is over 3,000! Let's hope that it was generated by a random number generator!

I'm wondering whether the confirmation number depends on which category requested: Cat 1 - 1000s, Cat 3 - 3000s?

My 3,xxx number came from a Cat 1 order.

So much for that theory.

My confirmation is in the low 1000s. But I don't know whether that was from my FedEx package or some early attempt to fax that I didn't receive confirmation on from my machine (broken line, etc.).

I tell ya, this whole thing introduces huge amounts of uncertainty into what is a very uncertain process to begin with.

I should also add that I found my confirmation email in my junk mailbox. I use a spam filtering program and it recognized the confirmation email as a spam. Some of you may want to check your junk mailbox too!
