No soccer ticket confirmation yet.

But I did just receive my confirmation on my flights to Paris. 2 tickets to Paris, June 10-June 19. Total cost: $110. Gotta love using air miles...

5:15ish Fax (Eastern Time) on Monday
Received E-mail confirm at 3:00 today
Conf # is 40**

I am wondering if the first digit has anything to do with the number of matches you put in for?

Or maybe I should have put a Ben Franklin in the Fed Ex envelop. After all, the USSF seems to have ripped a page out of the CONCACAF third-world approach to organization, so why not a bribe!

You didn't put one in? I thought it was mandatory. I offered up my second born, the first one is way to cute to let go!

I think the fair thing given how screwed up this is would be for USSF to take the first day faxes and overnight packages and put them together. Clearly everyone who spent their day and night (and dollars) to try to get their application in at the earliest opportunity should be treated fairly. Everyone who took action on the first day at this point should be treated equally because it is the USSF's failure to provide an adequate fax that caused the bottleneck. I put in a request for a bunch of tickets. I'd be happy to get part of my order (e.g., one game instead of multiples). USSF should allocate the tickets to maximize the chances of US fans to join in the fun. Hopefully they will recognize their own short comings, their own failure to enforce rules, their selective provision of key information (the alternative fax numbers) and realize they've got a real problem with their core constituency.

I say a giant Texas Hold'em tournament where the winner of each table gets tickets to a game. Of course there is a $1000 buy in that goes to the house.

Talked to the "infamous" Amy at US Soccer and she said that the Fedexes that arrived Monday morning are being documented tonight and tomorrow morning and we should be receiving confirmation emails by midday tomorrow.

She refused to make any sort of guess as to whether there would be tickets for those who Fedexed their requests.:(

You mean Tuesday, right? Or was there some other way to cheat that us honest folks didn't know about?

I posted this in the number/fax time thread, but since it seems more appropriate here, I'll reiterate...

I UPS'ed my application in (delivered at 9:42 on Tuesday AM ) and received a confirmation number of 20xx around 1 PM Pacific.

I was thinking that maybe the had something to do which fax machine it came out of, but then I realized they'd all have to be numbered 1XXX.
