I'm confirmed on my 5:06 PM fax as #30##. Whew!
Good luck to everybody else!

Well isnt that just another kick in the nuts to me. So another rule to break is to fax to your heart's content and also fedex the package.

I need to stop reading BS before I blow a fuse. For fear of BREAKING THE GODDAMN RULES, I stopped faxing once I FedEXed the app.

This flagrant disregard for the rules and USSF's lack of enforcement really shows the true nature of some people.

Yes. Mine was sent by FedEx and when I checked my email this morning I had a confirmation email timed last night after 8 p.m. central.

Was it a same-day fedex? When did your fedex package arrive?

Has anyone who fedexed for the following day (the 13th) received a confirmation email? What time did the fedex package arrive?

My fax went through at 9 PM CST and I am in the low 6000's. I ordered 2 cat. 3 tickets for all three group games.

I suspect that they are keeping a log, and each confirmation so far has LARGE gaps between numbers. So they will tackle all of the fax numbers first, then move to the delivered ones, and if the delivered application fits in timewise, they have the ability to place the application in order, because of the large gaps.

I can't believe that they would be all the way up to 6000 by a 9pm fax...

I am still sticking with my theory that the numbering started at 1000. That way everybody has a 4 digit number since I don't think they were anticipating more than 10,000 applicants.

I'm just praying this is true. It is only a longshot hope, but it is all us Fedexers have.

My confirmation came within the last 3 hours. Number 2058. My fax went through at 7:57 PM on Monday night.

Weird thing is it says it was sent at "7:56 PM" and they misspelled my name (I just checked and it was correct on the application).

Anyway, I got it so now I can be a little less stressed out. :)

Has anyone who sent in via FedEx received a confirmation number? Mine was one of the 7:09 crew with F. Furtal, and I still haven't heard a peep and we're nearing the end of the supposed 2 day wait for confirmation.

Here's a wrinkle.

Has anyone received more than one confirmation?! We have one confirmed fax report, but got more than one confirmation number back from USSF. Sent email saying we didn't understand, but if our auto fax somehow got through more than once, it was an accident (and bizarre since it was so difficult to get through and since we only got one confirmed receipt).

Hmmm, that is interesting, mine arrived there yesterday at 7:09 am and I haven't heard anything.

I hope this means that they are just logging them in and will prioritize them by time received eventually . . .

Was the 9:34 group signed by Polk? Maybe Polk is a bit more industrious than Furtal and signed his in a lot faster  Buying that HD Plasma looks more and more probable.

Ditto for me (unless they sent something to my home fax machine). I'm really pissed about this. I was in the middle of a trial, busted out at the lunch break, downloaded and filled out the form, tried a couple of times to send the form in unsuccessfully before I had to dash back to my trial. When I got back to my office I kept trying to no avail and then went the Fed Ex route right before Fed Ex closed. I was following the rules. I guess I should have had someone spend the rest of the day for me at the office trying to send the application. Or I should have dug up a non-posted fax number, or I should have kept faxing after I sent my Fed Ex, even though the rules said "only one application." Or maybe I should have put a Ben Franklin in the Fed Ex envelop. After all, the USSF seems to have ripped a page out of the CONCACAF third-world approach to organization, so why not a bribe!

Also, the "helpful" soul on BS that posted the fax machine was broken, if that is untrue, deserves the fourth ring of teh inferno for all eternity! So, it's 5 pm EST and I've got nothing. My Fed Ex arrived at 9:34 am Tuesday.

I think the fair thing given how screwed up this is would be for USSF to take the first day faxes and overnight packages and put them together. Clearly everyone who spent their day and night (and dollars) to try to get their application in at the earliest opportunity should be treated fairly. Everyone who took action on the first day at this point should be treated equally because it is the USSF's failure to provide an adequate fax that caused the bottleneck. I put in a request for a bunch of tickets. I'd be happy to get part of my order (e.g., one game instead of multiples). USSF should allocate the tickets to maximize the chances of US fans to join in the fun. Hopefully they will recognize their own short comings, their own failure to enforce rules, their selective provision of key information (the alternative fax numbers) and realize they've got a real problem with their core constituency.

I sent mine via DHL -- arrived 9:45am, Tues. 12-13 signed by Furtak.

Spent all day Monday afternoon trying to fax to no avail.

As of today, (Weds. 12-14 at 5:30pm ET). I haven't received a confirmation email yet either.

Let us pray.
