Has anybody who sent their forms in via FedEx gotten a confirmation e-mail yet? My package arrived at USSF at 7:09 am yesterday and I have yet to recieve a confirmation.

It looks like those of us who overnighted the app are royally ********ed.

I don't doubt the word of those who say they were told by USSF staff that the fax machine was broken. I do take issue with USSF keeping the fax line up if they weren't planning to take apps over the fax after 5:00 or so. I also have a problem with USSF taking apps over the non-official fax lines.

This whole process has been ethically questionable.

I agree, I know if I didnt play by the rules and used the extra fax number I found my app would be thrown out. I wasted a whole day off of work sitting at kinkos trying to fax the thing. Yeah I could have left it at home, but I kept getting the number was down. Around 4pm est The number was giving the error codes, not a busy signal for me. So I fedex'd it in. Im still going to be in Germany, but Im pissed that I may have thrown away money in fedexing the package for naught.

Ethically questionable? The USSF?

Surely you must jest.

Relax people I doubt they were working through the night. Those of us that used fedex will be getting confo numbers today. I am going to absolutely terrorize the next USSF person I see, however far in the future it might be.

They should have never allowed the fax to begin with. It would have made everyone's life much easier and been infinitely more fair. So much so that you gotta think that fairness was not at all a concern for the USSF.

I wonder if the confirmation number has anything to do with the number of ticket requested per match?

My number is 20xx, and I requested 2 seats.

just a thought.

Nope, I got a number in the low 3000s but just 2 seats. My fax went through a little after 5PM.

We got a 20xx number and requested three seats. Category 3. Do any of your confirmations give a time of receipt?

So much so that you gotta think that fairness was not at all a concern for the USSF.

When you have a referee inconsistent with the rules and unwilling to blow the whistle...when you have players flying studs up at shins and elbowing when the ref's back is turned...no one can expect a fair match.

I just sent an email which I know probably wont be responded to, asking for an explanation.

[vent]
I just dont get how this turned into a lottery, and not what the rules stated. Now I know next time I deal with USSF, to break all the rules possible. I did find the app ahead of time, but didnt try faxing till the 12ct hour. Next time I will fax as soon as I find the app. If that number doesnt work Ill fax some other number, or call their directory assistance to get a working fax number. I guess rules are for the dumb to follow, so I fall into the dumb sucker who wasted a day off and money on fedex group.

My email wasnt the vent I put here, it was simple generic, and just asking for some communication. While expressing some concern over the policy.

I got this email this morning:

Dear U.S. Soccer Fan,

Thank you for your interest in U.S. Soccer and the 2006 FIFA World Cup!
We appreciate your patience in awaiting our response. We have received
your e-mail regarding concerns about invalidating your 2006 FIFA World
Cup Ticket Order Form due to multiple submissions via fax or mail. As
long as it is clear to U.S. Soccer that the multiple orders forms were a
result of a faxing error (i.e. automatic re-dial continued to send order
form, no fax confirmation received therefore order form was also sent
via mail, etc.), your order form will still be in consideration for
ticket allocation.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We
apologize for any inconveniences and sincerely appreciate your support
of U.S. Soccer!

Well isnt that just another kick in the nuts to me. So another rule to break is to fax to your heart's content and also fedex the package.
