Does anyone know of any good software for mixing?
I'm trying to upgrade from my decks to digital but I'm not to sure where to start.
Thanks in advance

I got my start with MusicMatch Jukebox Plus ($20) few years ago. It has an easy guide (http://photobucket.com/albums/v338/USsoccerfan22/?action=view¤t=Line-inRecording.gif) on how to digitize songs from old tapes but it doesn't have features to enhance them (i.e. adding bass, treble, presets etc.). If I knew what I know now I would spend $10-$20 more and get a whole sound card like SoundBlaster Live 24-bit which is great for line-in recording and enhancing. I don't use MMplus anymore but it is a good software to start with. There are some free softwares available but I doubt the recording quality would be that good or they would allow to rip at higher quality than 128 kbps.

You will also need a cable like this (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103865&cp=2032058&f=Taxonomy%2FRSK%2F2032058&categoryId=2032058&kwCatId=2032058&kw=audio+cable&parentPage=search) or this (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102981&cp=2032058&f=Taxonomy%2FRSK%2F2032058&categoryId=2032058&kwCatId=2032058&kw=audio+cable&parentPage=search), depending on your source/sound card.
