It's only been a day- the FAQ says to expect a confirmation within 48 hours. Of course, the FAQ says a lot of things...

I'm in the same boat though- my forms arrived at 9:43am yesterday and I haven't received a confirmation yet. I think only people who got their faxes through on Monday have received confirmations so far (which would fit the 48 hours expectation).
My application also got there at 9:43 , and I thought it was just faxes that have been confirmed , but on other threads , people have received confirmation for their applications that arrived via fedex at 9:43 also :( I really hope my confirmation gets here soon...

With the news that San Jose is almost certainly gone, not getting US WC tix will be another kick in the nuts for me. No live soccer at all next summer would really suck.

I still havent received anything, I also havent received any calls or emails back regarding my questions. Im still hating the fact I took off monday to make sure I could send the fax in only to end up fedexing it, and run the possibility of not even getting a chance to have the order processed.

This is BS. I was on the 7:09 as well, actually mailed mine and a friends out at the same time for $114 for the pair, and he got 808x and I got 885x. Not quite as bad as yours, but still much worse than a lot of others that got there later.

I'm hoping that they are putting all our info into a database and then they'll sort all orders by time received before filling orders. The confirmation numbers, while certainly indicative of approximately where you stand in line, may not be anything more than a tracking number.

I still don't know if the numbers mean anything beyond "we got your order".

There definitely is a general pattern that those who faxed early have lower numbers, but there is no indication that they are seeding you in line based on the confirmation number.
