I don't know if it's been mentioned here but apparently Miguel Cotto the Puertorican boxer is a River Plate fan. Everytime he fights now he comes out wearing a River jersey. And his trunks are now white and red.
If I recall in the last Boca-River match I think I saw a huge banner in the crowd with his image on it wearing the River shirt.
Anyway River has alot of fans on the island, almost as many as Boca ;) . You can't go out without seeing at least one person with a Boca or River shirt on.
