To make it short, he was my high school sweetheart and was killed in Iraq in October of last year.

I'm sorry to hear that. My condolences. I have a good friend who made it back alive, but has had trouble adjusting back to civilian life. So much so, he and his wife have split because he decided he wants to go back to Iraq. He has three sons.

Nope. We always went to Quakes games together, and my mom told him he could never wear a Scum shirt when he was with us.

He loved telling me how much Arsenal sucked, and I would have been disappointed had he not done it in the letter I received from him while he was in Iraq. He was only there for 5 weeks or so before he was killed, so we only got to exchange letters once.
