At least the ticket allocation process has unintendedly become more random, thus allowing mere mortals such as myself advantages usually reserved for the prompt and courteous.

We are equals now!

Quite ironic that eFax is one of the banner ads at the top.

I would like to state that USSF's faq stated they had things in place to handle this by fax.

I'm with snake eyes. The freaking FAQ specifically said they'd be ready. Write letters(not emails, letters) to sponsors, boycott products from their website, do online petitions. That's the way to get things done.

This is by far one of the funniest things I have ever seen on BS.

Repped.

Ok Fidlerre, I'm glad you're satisfied with the service you got today and the way the USSF is run. I am not and I want to do something about it. If you have a better idea, then post it. I think letting the sponsors know how we feel is a good avenue to take.

Am I satisfied? No, I feel sorry for all those that had to spend hours trying to fax in orders. Does it shock me? Hell no. This is US Soccer who sold tickets to the highly in-demand Mexico match in Columbus via order forms and fax-ins orders.

It's a joke, I agree 110%, but writing sponsors isn't going to do a thing to affect US Soccer. You honestly think Phillips, Nike or Gatorade care? As much as I wish a letter-writting campaign would work, I highly doubt it'd make a dent in what those companies think.

Yes. One of my professors(recently won the award for the top professor at my school) worked in public relations for a number of years for some large corporations(LL Bean and American Airlines to name two). He now teaches Journalism and he recently spent an entire lecture on why sponsors need to be kept happy with the product they support and angry letters that address specific issues are read by the higher-ups and do affect change. And even if nothing happens, I'll feel better than just starting 10 threads on why the USSF is bush league.

Corporations advertise with USSF because they want to reach a very select, specialized group-soccer fans. I don't know what our end goal would be or what kind of demands we could make, but doing things like creating a red t-shirt for supporters to buy off of cafe press instead of buying from Nike, or purchasing only non Anheiuser-Busch products for BigSoccer tailgates until something gets fixed would definitely get someone's attention.
