As I've posted elsewhere, I also spoke with Amy. She also did call me back. Since no one else seems to have a name for the voice who gave them their info, I'm trusting that Amy is accurate in her advice. OTOH, I did not receive an email yet, so I'm still somewhat uneasy at this point!
Did she also say that they would be taking faxes through the night?

and did she also mention that they were accepting stuff sent to other USSF numbers (this little one has been confirmed by the way)?

Jake - I'm angrier than I have ever been about anything soccer related. Including the myriad Metro ********-ups I'm subjected to on a weekly basis

I was told that all faxes that were confirmed (i.e., AFAIK, that your fax printed out a page confirming that your fax went to the correct fax line, # of pages, & result was 'ok') were received by USSoccer. I can also report that I now have a confirmation from USSoccer, my # is 30##.

Wow. That's saying a lot, since I've seen you in full rage on a few occassions! Good luck, TAF!

On the positive side it is good to see such high demand to support the Nats. I just hope it is all Nats supporters.

Is there any way to determine whether multiple orders went through on a single fax line connection? Ticket scalpers are set up to do things like that, and could have run in a hundred orders on one telephone call while the rest of us spent 32 hours trying to fax. Just curious. And furious.

I have been reading these boards for the last three days, trying to figure out this bewildering process. One minute I'm as high as a kite thinking I have a great chance at tickets(I felt this way 2 hours ago)and then I'm totally depressed thinking no way in *ell are there any tickets left.If you guys are right about confirmation numbers starting at 1,000,because of USSF VIPS,that means 1,000x 4 tickets(allowed per game)= 4,000 tickets .If FIFA allocates 8% of the tickets for each U.S match,I calculate that at 3,280 ticket per game (8% of 41,000 which is the average seating capacity of the U.S. venue sites) I don’t see how that leaves any ticket for the rest of us.I hope I am so wrong

I only ordered 3. Make that 3,999.

Not likely to get more than a few tix that way. They are tying applications to names, passprots and CC#'s

Something of interest-I went to the FIFA web site and put in orders on game tickets for MEX/TUN and ARG/HOL ...

They indicated which games would be tough tickets to get-and while ARG/HOL was mentioned this way (same as all the England games); none of the USA games were indicated as such...

Relax-I suspect we'll be OK.
