My fax went through last night, but I need to stop watching this thread, becasue every time I do, I started thinking it's all hosed up.
I mean, I know it's all hosed up, but in my world my fax got through with no problems. :o

The only fair way to do this with all the snafus is to put all the applications they received yesterday and today into one big bag and draw them out randomly.
That's what I thought too, but then I wouldn't have any chance of getting tickets (I have bad luck).

I got a call back from Amy at USSOCCER (to the voicemail I left inquiring about fax problem rumors, etc.) who, although mentioned in this thread previously, was by coincidence the person they put me through to when I called asking about ticket issues.
Anyway -- she was great. She also told me the rumor about broken faxes was just that - a rumor. Additionally, she told me the "faxes" actually go to a computer and they are being printed out...she also confirmed that I would get an emailwithin 48 hours confirming reciept, so maybe we'll need a thread for those who got their confirmation emails. :D

Just received my e-mail confirmation from US soccer. According to my fax report, my ticket request was sent at 3:05 PM CST. No guarantee of tickets obviously, but at least confirms that faxes were being received.

My brother is a Fedex employee so i borrowed his uniform and dressed up and delivered it myself yesterday around 1. Pretty cool huh. Well I didn't do that but I did save a bunch of money on my car insurance.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that is not random generated numbering.
My fax went through at 12:25pm CT yesterday. I received the email at 8:15pm CT today, and my number is in the first half of the 1000s.
I think the numbering started at 1000.

In that case, I hope that they skipped a lot of the numbers!

no way they got 3000 orders in 3 hours. faxes don't move that fast.

also, the fed only had about 3000 tickets to give per game. If they got 2000 orders (3000-1000) they'd already be out of tickets. i just doubt that's the case.....and yes my heart is pounding now.

Not to be too cynical, but it's just as likely that the first 1000 or so were for USSF connections. FIFA doesn't allot extra for cronies, it comes off the top. On the positive side it is good to see such high demand to support the Nats. I just hope it is all Nats supporters.

As I've posted elsewhere, I also spoke with Amy. She also did call me back. Since no one else seems to have a name for the voice who gave them their info, I'm trusting that Amy is accurate in her advice. OTOH, I did not receive an email yet, so I'm still somewhat uneasy at this point!
