I swear we won't kill you
I'll try to believe you on this! I want to be able to go to 16A/101!
I finally got through at 5 PM! I downloaded the order form a few minutes early. (Thanks to whoever noticed that & shared it!) I started faxing at 1:00 EST, got through several times over the next 4 hours, never completing the process! Usually, it just went busy. One time, it took a page, then stopped. I was just about to head for the DHL office when I finally got through. Time of transmission was 2'18 for 4 pages, as I'm only seeking tix for 2 people this time. During the process, I managed to redo the form a couple of times! Once was when someone posted about CAPS. Another was when the price went down! However, now I see that my e-mail name is incorrect (jbIGJAKE)! Let's hope they call one of my phone numbers or use my secret password # to pull up the correct e-mail address.
I encourage everyone to keep trying.

Eff. Just tried again about 15 minutes ago...unsuccessfully. Gave up and sent the overnight...$20+ because US Soccer is run by idiots. If it's $20+ spent on NOT getting tickets...I'll be even more pissed.

As of 7:57 EST, my fax went through - took 3 minutes 47 seconds according to the fax transmission report off my home office fax (it's an HP 4-in-1, I'm not geeky enough to actually have my own fax).
So all I can do is wait until I get some sort of response from USSOCCER that they got it. Of course I have visions of my fax going to a machine with no paper, getting mixed in with 200 other faxes (wait, I find it hard to believe that 200 other faxes actually got through).
This is really more stress than I need around the holidays!!!

These posts about getting through after the fax was supposedly shut down are worrisome. Could the fax number ring, be answered, give tones, accept faxed pages so that the sender can confirm, yet not actually receive anything? Or not print it out on the other end? Are there faxes stored inside the machine that need to be printed out? Will that be done properly tomorrow? Will someone just unplug the machine, losing any stored faxes?
Just when I thought that I could relax!

I sent an email to USSOCCER saying my fax "went through" but there is a rumor that the faxes are down, please confirm. Not sure I'll get an answer, but at this point, it's OBE. It ether went through or it didn't - although if a fax machine answers and the sending fax confirms the transmission, there is a pretty good chance it went through, and the thing is at least in the memory of the receiving machine. Small comfort anyway.

Really, they should stop accepting any faxes at this point--hey, houw about an e-mail to everyone on the ussoccerfan list?--since the vast majority of those of us who tried for hours today gave up and spent the money to overnight. If I miss out because a bunch of faxes started rolling in in the evening I'll be even more pissed than I am now.

Sorry didn't see this thread earlier. The fax machine gave out a "transmission complete" page at 10:23am Pacific time.

I just got a comfirmation page printed by my fax machine that it went through at 9 CST. I forgot it was on redial (only every 5 minutes). Just getting ready to leave my office and give up for the night and the fax machine starts dialing out and connect. Fricking amazing since I have been trying since noon CST.
Good luck to everyone!

See, this is messed up. I dont think they should/will allow faxes after buisness hours to count, otherwise we would never have f'ing FedExed our order probably.

That is exactly why I didn't FedEx.
USSF should either create ($$$) or "lease" an enterprise level self-service order entry system.
Do you think Amazon would have this problem? The neat thing about Amazon is that Amazon is going from a warehouse model to an information enabler between customer/supplier while taking a cut from all the transactions!
Fax is so 80's! In 1993, my mother saw me faxing a time sheet to the main office, she remarked, "Wow, it evens makes you a copy as well as sending your time sheet to the main office."
Just shook my head and said, uh-huh.
