I got through just after 5 PM, my confirm says 5:06 PM, so I guess I was the guy in front of you! This whole process was/is unnerving! Then, when I'm looking at my e-mail address, it's now screwed up because of the whole CAPS thing (I'm jbIGJAKE!). If I was Fina, I'd still be screaming. Took a few minutes to post this because I've been busy apologizing to my family & everyone who I hung up on today!

So either we are sitting next to each other or we will be fighting with USSF in two days. I hope it is the sooner.

Another update, just spoke with US Soccer one last time. They are NOT accepting any more faxes INCLUDING to the 312-808-1301 number. Those that go there will NOT be accepted.

Why? It just gets better.

7. Will U.S. Soccer be prepared for the anticipated number of orders to be received via fax?

Yes. Special accommodations have been made by U.S. Soccer in preparation to receive the large number of anticipated ticket orders via fax.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I was in meetings and interviews most of the afternoon, by my friend who was ordering our tickets text messaged me at 3:58...

"Still trying...these bastards need another fax line"

I was one of the early people to get a fax submitted. However the Category 4 tickets were listed as 49.50 euros. I dont mind paying a higher price but I don't want my application terminated because of their error.

Whats the latest on that?

Did you get your confirmation email from US Soccer already? Or do you mean a report page from your fax machine?

We're FedExing it too. Scheduled for pickup at 6:30; scheduled for delivery tomorrow morning. What a waste of an afternoon.

Got it from my fax machine in my office, but it clearly says transmitted 5 pages and the number matched up to the application.

Now, I sit and wait for 2 days.

To: All of you who managed to get a fax through, could you help satisfy some of our curiosity as to:

1) Which # you faxed to
2) When you faxed it
3) Your confirmation (if any)

Again, my friend also JUST called US Soccer @ 312-808-1300 and they told him as well to overnight b/c fax was no longer working. He too asked about alternate fax numbers of record for US Soccer, and the person there told him that "they were not accepting faxes at this time from those numbers." Don't know if that means old faxes were ok or not, just passing along what he was told.

she said the the fax machine was broken and they are telling everyone to overnite the thing. She said that they WON'T accept faxes from any other number. I guess the only way to do it now is to overnite the thing! I wish I hadn't wasted the whole day and been in the same position.

Well my wife called me back after I had given up and called Fedex to come pick up the forms....she then told me that the fax had gone through at 5:11Pm eastern. :) All the pages in a reasonable amount of time. Only took man hundreds of times across 3 fax machines.

So now I just sit and wait for the confirmation. Just called Fedex told them not to bother coming. A good ending (I hope...after today I expect them to have lost the fax or something) to a very frustrating afternoon in which I got nothing done accept fax, hang up, redial.

Good luck to everybody that got screwed by the USSF idiots today.

ONE FAX MACHINE! Idiots of the worst kind. Can't we have a tax on stupidity?

well it is midnight here. I will fax it in the morning (3am Chicago time) but feel in utter dispare. If anyone could tells us how we would get confirmation, I would really appreciate it. I know it was supposed to be two days from now, but it seems like some people are getting email confirmations immediately.

Thanks

Taylor
btw, I suspect for those who think their fax has now gone through, USSF has probably put some sort of "accept anything" fax number on and it will not be considered. Best of luck and good night.

Hey Fellas,
Just got back from setting up camp in the Kinko's All afternoon. Planted a "Don't Tread On Me!" flag in one FAX and dared anyone to move me. After defying the SWAT team this past hour, I agreed with the negotiator that it might be a good idea to "Put Down the FAX! and as he said "Put Your Hands on Your Head!" I put up a tough front and wouldn't go quietly until they let me send the S*** FEDEX. I might get out of prison by June, but the forms get in by morning.
