Aren't the group stage prices wrong on the application?

On the Fifa world cup site, prices for the group stage are:

1- 100.00 €
2- 60.00 €
3- 45.00 €
4- 35.00 €

On my app, the prices are:

1- 110.00 €
2- 83.00 €
3- 66.00 €
4- 49.50 €

And on the USSoccer.com presale email, the prices are:

1- 110.00 €
2- 66.00 €
3- 50.00 €
4- 39.00 €

So, what the hell will I be paying, if by some grace of God my applocation ever goes through?

Rick

I JUST ASKED THAT AND NO ANSWER....... Finally someone notices...

OK........ big confussion!!! It says that US ARMY maybe on category 3 but we actually wanted category 2. However the prices are DIFFERENT...

On the form:
1-110 2-83 3-66 4-49.50

E-Mail says that category 2 are 66 and 3 are 50!!! What the heck!! I want 2 anyway but I would like to be with US supporters, do yuu think that If I mark down category 2 and mark down the box for Sam's Army it would screw up the order?

great. I think I just broke my fax machine.
Mine overheated twenty minutes ago. I didn't know the was possible. I guess pressing redial every 5 seconds for 3 hours will do that sometimes. Just faxed my wife's work to confirm it was working again. Now I've got her office faxing for me.

I can't believe what a joke this process is. Oh well, its looking like another WC missed. I can't wait to watch this on ESPN with their awesome announcers and nice side-by side ads. That is the way football was meant to be seen.

I am excited to announce that after 3 hours of continous busy signals... MY FAX FINALLY WENT THROUGH!

I am sure that I will endear myself to all of you by rubbing it in with my very first post, but I wanted to tell all of you that are ready to head to fedex (like I was) to hang in there! Maybe there is a ray of hope after all.

I have been reading this thread since noon and without the occasional humor relief I am quite sure that I would have lost it long ago. So thanks, all. I love BS. Then again, I love just about everyone right now. :D

well 312 808 1301, but that is busy too. I am really started to get depressed.

I know this is bad, but maybe they have a suicide fax number for help?

Ok, here's a crucial question: When I send in my app by fedex, do I staple the pages, or use a paper clip?

Staple...but don't bend or mutilate... :)

Here's a question that has probably been answered already, but this is a long thread: is there any advantage to getting your entry in early? I had heard it was not first come first serve, but hopefully someone can confirm.

I used neither for fear that they may reject it. I wonder how many people in haste did not use ALL CAPS.

Didn't you get the last email?

You have to have the pages bound with a special security thread provided by USSF. However, you had to order it 4-6 weeks ago. Sorry. :(

IT IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.

LOL --> Unless perhaps that his why they had different versions of the ticket prices....those in early paid more. :D

For all of you that are frustrated with faxing and not getting through, try to be happy that you at least have your password.

Begin Rant:

Between the Germans and the Americans they have found a way to make it clear that they do not want anyone to show up for the 2006 World Cup.

- Tickets are almost bound by DNA to a specific fan. Any trading or swapping of tickets will result in instantaneous death. Forget any on-the-spot ticket purchases to interesting first round or to second round games (if your team makes it through)

- You have to purchase a passport, for each person you'd like to get tickets for, in order to simply apply for tickets. Even if you don't win any of the various lotteries, your State Department thanks you for the considerable investment you've made

- Your very own soccer federation can't even e-mail you a simple document with a password on it. You can e-mail them and attempt to call them to find out why, but you will never get through. So you are left unable to compete in a first come/first served ticketing process.

They might as well have adopted "Stay the [BLEEP] Home We Don't Want You Here" as the official logo of World Cup 2006.

I'm extremely disappointed that my own federation cut me out. Time to start rooting for the Irish National Team, I guess.

I caught that just as I was about to mail the sucker, so went back and retyped the whole thing. Sheesh, my Princeton application was less stressful.

Well that puts me out of the running. I don't have my passport on me.

does it seem like they've shut down the 528 7049 number to anyone else? I'm getting an "I'm sorry" recorded voice message through the faxmachine instead of the busy signal now.

********.

Hearing that somebody actually got through recently emboldened me to resume my assault and postpone the trip to UPS.
Now, nearly every call is, "Sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed."
Lovely!
Thanks, USSF!
