After 100 + tries I just got an answer, it sounded like it was going to go through, then I had a long tone for about 20 seconds and it hung up. Confirmation page said busy/no response.

anyone else using a Mac and having problems downloading the pdf file?
Absolutely . . . this is a cluster********. The instructions PDF works fine but the application is ********ed. I had ot go to Kinko's to use a PC, complete the papers there then spent 90 mins trying to fax.
Given that the notification email announcing this sale was published in early November, has there been any notice since then that Mac users would not be able to handle the download? I've looked pretty thoroughly and not seen any notice of this . . . and now it's too late.

I am also giving up pretty soon.
Seems a shame, since I work in downtown Chicago, and can pretty much see US Soccer House out of my window...

I did have to do it directly from the ussoccer.com however, it didn't work from the e-mail.

Aren't the group stage prices wrong on the application?
On the Fifa world cup site, prices for the group stage are:
1- 100.00 €
2- 60.00 €
3- 45.00 €
4- 35.00 €
On my app, the prices are:
1- 110.00 €
2- 83.00 €
3- 66.00 €
4- 49.50 €
And on the USSoccer.com presale email, the prices are:
1- 110.00 €
2- 66.00 €
3- 50.00 €
4- 39.00 €
So, what the hell will I be paying, if by some grace of God my applocation ever goes through?

She didn't mention what the fax situation is? Any word on whether any of the alternate fax nos. are okay?

I still have not received my emailed password. I believe that is a violation of the contract that I have with them. I have not done any work today, and had paid my local UPS store to retain the use of their fax machine exclusively after 10am pacific time, and I am being irreparably damaged.
Any attorneys out there that want a case?

Does any one have a highpowered rifle they could donate to Mr. Etienne?

I'm sending mine in via Fed Ex.
I was thinking that if they only have one fax line, and that if each fax takes about three minutes to get through, they can only receive 20 applications per hour, at most.
So I figure that Fed Ex has just as good a chance at getting tickets as via fax.
I will say that I'm not planning to order the "Journey To Germany (http://store.yahoo.com/ussoccerstore/us40555556.html)" DVD that USSF was pimping in their e-mail though unless I'm able to buy match tickets.

How did you hear this?
Viveca Novak told me in October. No, wait, May.
I've got good connections, is all. Not good enough to bypass this process, though. Or at least I'm not taking that chance.
Later,
