You are right..........nobody, and I mean nobody, uses fax machines anymore. Email has completely taken over in that department for reasons just like this.
Again, I was told by someone at the Fed today they wanted to do this via the internet or email, and were told by FIFA they could not.

Faxes are getting through, and I've been told they're trying to get rid of the busy signals. No specifics on how, exactly. And no idea how the success-to-failure ratio compares to, say, Ticketmaster when a hot concert or game goes on sale, but the educated guess is that it's probably not that much different.

Later,
COZ

Have you ever bought tickets for a concert through ticketmaster?
I have. On many occasions.
I find you guess to be not all that educated. Seems much different to me.

Can you tell us what number you faxed to? I'll be ticked if all the lines are working except the number they sent me (and others here).

The one on the form: 312 - 528 - 7049

I filled out form doc_6_524. I noticed some people mentioned 525. It might have been because I got it early - but I got it from the link "click here for ticket order form"

I totally agree with the sentiment that this is completely ridiculous. I got the application early as well had it ready to go at 12 Central and busy for close to 3 1/2 hours. Tried 4 different fax machines as well...had to have tried at least 100 times and nothing. I finally gave up as well, as I have 2 finals tomorrow to study for, and sent it overnight through the mail. I included a letter stating my displeasure and how if the thing would have worked properly i would have been right on the money the minute it was officially open. If I miss out on going to Germany for this I am going to be incredibly p1ssed.

Not that I'm not just as pissed as you, but being angry does not make 2-1/2 hours equal 3-1/2 hours. It's 2:25 central time right now...

I gave up and went to UPS.

Earlier I got Ohio State football tickets online on the day of the public sale. It took about two hours for me to get through. Of course, that's Ohio State football and this is soccer.

I'd be obliged if someone with connections at the Fed could let us know what's going on. (Buff?) As with everyone else, I've been doing this since before 1 pm ET, have tried any number of times, and have had multiple hangups when having sent half of the document. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know any USSF people? Maybe, if we state our names and they see the thread, they may make an exception and include us? No?
Buller? Buller?

I just faxed to another number that was listed on a form that someone posted here -- 312 808 9295 -- though the number listed on my form was 312 528 7049. Will I still get my tickets?

Thanks,

Erik

OK........ big confussion!!! It says that US ARMY maybe on category 3 but we actually wanted category 2. However the prices are DIFFERENT...

On the form:
1-110 2-83 3-66 4-49.50

E-Mail says that category 2 are 66 and 3 are 50!!! What the heck!! I want 2 anyway but I would like to be with US supporters, do yuu think that If I mark down category 2 and mark down the box for Sam's Army it would screw up the order?

I have a pretty good feeling that your form will be taken care of by the cleaning staff tonight.

This is quite possibly the biggest cluster******** Ive ever seen.

The worst part is, they flat out lied about having the capacity to recieve these faxes.
