Photoshop question

the spikes in the bottom left were made with pen tool, make selection, fill.

what should i have done or could i do to get them straight and not pixelated/grainy?

Try the line tool instead of the pen tool. That might do it.

You should use the lasso tool to draw the shape.

Just hold down ALT and use single clicks to place the points.... when you have made the shape you want, just let go of ALT and the mouse button.

Make sure anti-alias is checked in the tool option.

Then you've got a selection you can fill in with the paint bucket, or pereferably, a HUGE pencil tool.

Make sure you do that shape on its own layer so you can mess with it.
