you should pay Mario to even use his full name in the post. Just the fact that he COULD play on Tuesday and you MIGHT see him play live is enough for you to thank whatever Gods you believe in. If he does actually play and you see him live, try to stop by a corner liquor store to buy a lottery ticket, as you will be one lucky man.

Even better, the ticets were free. My brother in aw works for the Pengiuns, he throws tshirts out at intermissisanins and he got tthiem for me,.

(I reallyn need to stop edrinking when school ends.

Red Wings suck octopus dong. Seriously.
The Red Wings are the best American based NHL period and this is coming from a Chicago fan. My wife has a slight soft spot for NJ, she was born there. She loves Brodeur and Stevens.

By the way, if any team is gonna being suckin octupus dong, it is the Blackhawks and their cr#ppy owner WIRTZ, son of satan!

Old Roenick is better than Tkachuk. Sorry everyone, but what the HELL has Tkachuk done lately. I know JR only has 17 pts, but come on!
The dude is frickin dinosaur. I'm impressed he can still bring it.

I think Tkachuk is more versatile though. He can play the wings as well as center. Roenick is old and slow. Tkachuk is just slow.

I just don't think Roenick brings it anymore. He's good but watching him the previous 3 seasons with the Flyers, he just disappears in some games. He's also not the physical force he once was and he's about 1 more concussion away from retiring.

but, wouldnt he make a great 4th line center? perhaps with a chris drury and brian gionta... maybe not those players, but just tossing it out there..
anyways, i really cant complain with who was picked for the team.
didnt know jordan leopold was a yank... what a great collegian.

I think Drury is the best 4th line center. Probably because I've had a huge man crush on him since his BU days.

I didn't know about Jordan Leopold either. That surprised me. I was quite happy about it.

Mike Knuble surprised me. I know he's a Flyer and I know he's American but I didn't think he was that highly regarded as a player. I love him and think he's a great tough winger to put out there. He fights for everything and doesn't stop until the whistle is blown.

i'm not certain (As i dont see many eastern conference games), but, i think knuble played on that thornton line in boston and had a GREAT season (when they last played hockey). *thinks* or was it the samsanov line... anyways..
he really impressed me then.. does he play on forsberg's line in philly?

I am pretty sure he played with Thornton in Boston. That was the main criticsm of him when he came to the Flyers, that he played with a great center who just fed him.

He is on the Forsberg line now along with Simon Gagne. Hence his great season, no one seems to pay attention to him when those two are out there.

Well, I'm resurrecting this thread, given announcement of teams for Torino 2006.
First, Knuble was a PRETTY good player at Michigan (so was my nephew, now toiling at Albany in the NJDevils organization - or lack thereof - and "on the cusp" of getting his NHL debut)
I love how the Russians play, so I support them - regardless of Gospodin Abramovich and how he has continued (but didn't start) the Chelsea Revolution (I guess Hoddle and Gullit could be considered the Kerenskys)
