View Full Version : Calling Sick

Arsenal are weighing up the possibility of calling sick to FA so that they can be exempted from duty next week end. Arsenal are scheduled to play the EPL reigning champions next Sunday, and they think this may be asking too much for their ailing side. If FA approves it, this game may be postponed almost indefinitely like their game against Liverpool.

There is also a plan B, in case FA will not postpone the game. A no show application. This can always be defended outside the pitch. Currently, Arsenal management is conducting a genaral survey on what would be the reaction of fans if Arsenal will have to apply plan B.

Weak, weak attempt at humor.

(Though I do hear the Arsenal players are coming down with some sort of eye problem. Yeah it's true...they just can't see themselves qualifying for next year's Champions League.)

I agree.

I just didn't want to be the first to say it, 'cause Zani might start reading my unopened letters.

Hyuk hyuk hyuk Too much in the last 24 hours etc... :)

But doesn't the Champions League winner qualify automatically?

Oh and Zani. As ever, my Avatar speaks more truth then any rebuttal I make ever could.

 Yes, but our victory doesn't mean there will be 5 spots for England.

Now you just trying to be clever, but alas it hasn't worked, as my supposition clearly suggested Arsenal would be champions.

Rumour has it you will be watching Arsenal v Chelsea from the North Bank?

Always suspected you was a closet gooner. You'll like it there though. We really dont mind visiting fans chearing on their team. In fact its positivly encouraged :D

But that would involve Arsenal doing well in the CL, which would cause the universe to collapse upon itself due to the inherent impossibilities in that statement. And I think well enough of you not to believe you'd want to kill us all.

I may be. ;) Although I need to get the dates firm - I have a wedding to go that may hit on the same damned day. That would make me most unhappy. :(
Either way, I'll be at Highbury sometime this winter. Once I'm living in London, I'll need a quiet place to do some work over the weekend.

You had best hoped you make it. Else you doom your team to failure.

If you don't I will be on our mutual contacts ear for your ticket, and Arsenal have never lost under Wenger when I've been in the North Bank

Yes, I had a feeling if "dropped out", something I really don't want to do, our mutual contact wouldn't have a problem getting rid of the ticket.

I'll end up seeing our "mutual contact" (oh, for fcuk's sake, lets dispense with the secrecy - its Deep Throat) at some point next week, since I have something to drop off for him. I couldn't bring it to the game anyway.

God damn that's funny. Too bad Rick got drunk one night or I'd have a new signature.
