As we all know the Eye-rainians got the easiest group.

If they fail to survive the group phase...

Like I've said elsewhere .. no excuses for Iran.

This is the easiest group out of all Asian teams and this is almost a home match with so many Iranian players playing professionally in Germany.

It's either put up or be the AR b!tch forever ..

I also won't accept any excuses if Korea fails to make at least a decent run at 2nd spot .. we should be able to handle Switzerland and get a result (draw or win) and beat Togo.

If we can't do that, then I'll be supremely embarressed :o

You're kidding right? Korea's group is a joke.

I don't think anyone will disagree that:

Portugal > Switzerland
Angola > Togo

which one is better at the moment between Mexico and France is debatable.

Don't matter tho cause no matter which group mighty Iran's holy name would have came up in, we would have still advanced to the next round.

Early prediction:
Iran to finish as the leader of group D with 9 points and then whoop either Argentina or Holland in the next round.

It depends on Frances form, and Angolas power, I still think that Angola is stronger than Togo, and Portgual is stronger than Switzerland. We might say France is better than Mexico, in the end Korea had the easiest group, only a idiot would deny that.

Koreans have some nerve talking about "Easiest group" when they are grouped with the Swiss and Togo.

Pfft .. what a load of crap ..

Mexico, away from the Azteca, better than France?

I'll grant Portugal is better than Switzerland .. but not by much. Who the hell does Portugal have now? We beat them in WC2002, and I'm confident we could do it again, especially since their stars have aged more. On the other hand Switzerland have are a dark horse who managed to do well in the qualification.

Togo vs Angola? Call it a draw.

Korea's group isn't miles more difficult than Iran's, but Iran's group is easier. I'd take it any day.

If all the rhetoric that Iranians spew all over this forum is anywhere near correct, then we should all expect that Iran will qualify handily. Don't make excuses ffs.

Yet when the chips are down we get a flooed of Iranians who bum-rush the thread and engage in childish finger pointing and screaming "yours easier!".

Plus the token saudi who wants to deflect attention from the inevitable Shevchenko 8-0 Saudi scoreline.

If Korea doesn't get at least 3rd and make a strong push for second, I'll be very disappointed.

If Iran doesn't get 2nd in their group, you'll be ridiculed forever. Everything's optimal for Iran .. almost home ground with many players within the Bundesliga and loads of supporters within Germany. If you're so good then you'll qualify.

I don't know how you can say Iran has the easiest group. If you just compare the teams, you can see that Portugal, the Euro finalists, are better than the Swiss.
Angola and Togo are both crap. And currently Mexico is better than France. You say that Mexico doesn't play away from home, well they did pretty good the last time they were in Germany. They beat Brazil and should have beaten Argentina too. Not to mention they are always tough in group play. Lets see if France can score a goal first before saying they are better than Mexico.

Korea definitely has an easier group then Iran but not by much... Togo and Angola are equally crap, France may have declined considerably, but whether it's still better than Mexico or not isn't arguable at all, they are still an elite superpower in football with many aging but still dangerous superstars. Mexico is definitely the crappiest team out of Pool 1, there is no doubt about this. Portugal is a formidable team, but Switzerland is definitely underrated. Remember that Portugal had the EASIEST group in the preliminaries, Slovakia was the only half-decent team in their group, on the other hand Switzerland faced France and Ireland in the qualifying stages and still went UNDEFEATED, then beat Turkey in the playoffs to advance. The difference is miniscule, only jittery Iranians would claim we have a weaker group and that theirs is much tougher, fully 6 months to go before the WC and the Iranians are already preparing excuses to justify an embarassment.

On what evidence? Obviously you're just talking out of your arse ..

Quit trying to deflect attention from Iran .. we all know that the pressure is on you to perform. Just remember that you'll be laughing stock of the asian forums (you're already the laughing stock of the world forums  ) if you can't qualify.

And try taking some reading lessons pls .. I never said I'd be happy with 3rd.

It's called satire buddy, looks like the subtlety passed right through you.

The Koreans are just sick and tired of Iranians moaning about how we got the easier group in the other threads.
