Not bad for England, I think we'll top the group.
USA are feckin knackered.

Argentina and the US got reamed. Germany and Spain, as always, get lucky. England should progress easily. T&T are awful and Paraguay is short of top quality talent.

hopefully the Italy that shows up is the same Italy that was at the Euro, Nedved gets his annual injury sometime around may, Baros remembers that he is Baros, and Essien doesn't break Landon in half :)

Ukraine should also progress in that group with Spain. US is definitely screwed. Argentina is just unlucky.
So, what match-ups do we have from Chelsea.
Crespo vs. Robben vs. Drogba vs. Kezman (former Chelsea)
Cech vs. Essien
Not too bad.
I think most people thought the US was screwed when they drew Portugal, Poland & South Korea last time....
I don't like the fact that if we do mange to come out second in Group E they we'll likely have Brazil in the quarters.
Ah well, Group G or H would have been much better.
As for England - they have no easy task - Paraguay isn't too bad - they always seem to reach the quarters and Sweeden is no easy task either.

Wow, tough draw for the U.S. Even against the weakest opponent int he group, Essien will run our midfield ragged.

Nothing wrong with that old chap.
If the US has been drawn into our group (England), I would have been saying the same thing.
Except, of course, we actually would crush them :D

USA soccer fans can be so psychotic:
"Totti is no good"
"Nedved is too old"
"essien can be exposed playing DMid"
I really do not think the majority of them ever watch games.

his mum is a trini...
hell, its about time smaller countries benefit from this rather than big countries always benefiting.
you can laugh at players who play in England outside of the prem, but Stern John is one of them and he's one of the worlds leading NT scorers... in fact, he might be either 1 or 2 among active players. He's like 5th all time.

It was all in jest my good man! Hell, one of my favorite US players in Eddie Lewis and he's at Leeds now (ugh), he was a PNE last year.
Bobby Convey is another fav and he's at Reading.
Side note, I like Convey because:
a) I have family in Reading
b) He's from Philly
c) I once watched my younger brother play him in a club game
d) Despite what the people in the USA boards will say, he's a good player

I occasionally play with a guy who routinely schooled Bobby when they were kids but he's a Trini too and can't get a look in selection cuz he's not back home.

He won't. FIFA is UEFA, off side goals will not count.

Ok, time to make myself really unpopular, but here goes – the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1 ="">US</st1></st1:country-region> team will not win a single game in their group and they will be eliminated early - just my opinion
