Landon apparently said something about Mexico not deserving the seed and Warner had a fit calling him stupid and young and not having enough experience to know better.. Nonsense like that.. ;)

Warner also stated (paraphrased) that what's good for Mexico is good for Concacaf..

Full translation is on the next page thanks to the less lazy Viking64.. Says the same in long form.. :)

Portugal the finalist of the Euro beat Spain, undefeated on WC qualify and they not seeded

USA beat's Mexico in the world cup 02, like they beat Portugal, won the concacaf cup, beat Mexico 2-0 at home, lost 1-2 away, how can Mexico be the seeded, who's stupid now?

his man of his position should just shut the fucq up and go about his business.

Yeah, my Spanish is just good enough to understand the article, but I was trying to find out if there were any direct quotes in the media that were attributed to him. This seems like it's out of left field. But seriously, if it's true, why the heck would Landon feel the need to go there? It just doesn't make sense that the US is talking so much smack. I wish our people would simply shut up and play ball.

Oh, and I'm one of the crazies who think it perfectly reasonable that Mexico was seeded and we weren't. The format used is not a head-to-head in your conference type of thing. The team got good results, but we didn't get over the hump. Let's get over it already.
