the 2007 edition of the youth world cup (u-20) will be held in Canada. Who are your candidates to reach the final and win?

Personally i think it is too hard to tell this early in. Espcially with the ages we are talking about. At this age players can be brilliant now and absolutely shocking come tournament time. Vice versa.
But going on history etc....Brazil and Argentina have to be one of the favourites. Never know who will make it from Europe as in the past a few big name teams havnt made it in.

Well I think Mexico should be a strong favorite to win the cup 2 of our players are already at top clubs in europe, and 5 more wen to try out, while another one went to argentina. Plus Ever guzman already debuted in the mexican first divisiion along with some others from chivas. Many more are due to debut in the up coming season.
As you can see, they are really working up the talent.

Costa Rica....
Morado I would say you are the most passionate supporter on these boards. No matter what you stand by Costa Rica.

well as a matter of fact, CR was the only team that gave Mexico a hard time during the WC, sure we lost to turkey, but we rested like 6 starters cause it was the final match of the group.
so i say CR has a great future.

Brazil and Mexico have to be the favorites. Brazil in particular should look better with Kerlon, who was unable to play in the recent U17 tournament.
Netherlands, France, and Argentina also have quality players and should threaten. Turkey's U17 also looks really good. The United States, I'm not so sure. A lot of Mexico's recent success has to do with the fact that their youngsters are playing in Europe. I would like to see more American players playing abroad and the MLS is really preventing this (sorry). Just compare dos Santos and Adu. Not many people had even heard of dos Santos 3 years ago. Now, there's no doubt that he is considerably better than Adu.

screw the USA players :D
Mexico besides vela and dos santos, has 5 players trying out in europe and ever guzman is soon to join them, we also have another player trying out in argentina, so we have a great future for Mexico the rest of the players that dont go to europe will stay in Mexico and as soon as they are phisicly ready will debut in first division (some of them already have) like ever guzman that has been playin for a while, after all Mexico has one of the best leagues outside of europe.

I really hope Portugal makes it since it will be here in Canada.
That way Portugal can try and win the trophy for the third time (along side 1989 and 1991) here and Ill go support them.

nigeria is winning this one and nothing is left to consider if the same crops of players who played come with more discipline so we dont give out penalties with a fair game we are winning it.
