Just sent this out to our email list:
Please join me in Bay View this Friday for an afternoon of soccer viewing at The Highbury Pub, where Milwaukeeans gather to watch and talk soccer.
Festivities begin at 2 pm this Friday at The Highbury with the 2006 FIFA World Cup Draw shown live. The United States is in Pot 4 and Friday's draw will go a long way in determining the fate of the U.S. squad in Germany next June. The selection, which will be viewed by millions around the world will be followed by the NCAA College Cup semi-finals. Game one features the University of Maryland coached by former Milwaukee Wave and UW-Milwaukee Panther Sasho Cirovski against Southern Methodist University at 3:00 pm. Game two follows at 5:30 pm with New Mexico taking on the Clemson Tigers. The Highbury Pub is located at 2322 S. Kinnickinnic Avenue just south of the intersection of Lincoln and KK Avenues.
