Personally I loved BS the way it was. I miss my huge rep bar and my post count. I've made my feelings about this known but alas it came to nothing.

I'll probably get used to it...but I don't know. Things just seemed more focused on getting new members rather than keeping the current ones happy.

People like Wonka have already left the site and I can see more people leaving because of the changes.

Ask me in a couple of months how I think the changes have gone and I'll tell you then after a settling in period.

I honestly don't know how long I'll still be a member of this site at the moment.

I feel the exact same way and I have also made my feelings known. I am glad I waited on buying that membership or else I would have been screwed. I loved the rep it added a little color to everything. Also post count was ok with me. It just seems so plain now without rep or post count.

I also have decided that I may not visit BS so frequently. It seems that Huss has taken the route of quantity instead of quality. Bigsoccer was running great until he decided to change everything in hopes of luring new members onto the site for the World Cup.

I will now visit Xtratime more frequently even though the Newcastle board over there is dead. (As are most boards) I will visit the Newcastle forum weekly trying to keep in touch with you guys, but other than that I am done.

I obviously have more of a comitment to this site so I will be sticking around for a while.

I urge you to keep posting in the Newcastle forum, yes we may have lost some big parts of BS but you are well know and liked on this board which is more than can be said for Xtrashite.

Yea, I would think they might have consulted the mods before the decision but I take it they didn't?

Thanks Toon, I really enjoy posting here it gives me a real sense of community being able to joke around with people who support the same team as I do. As you may very well know I was a WR regular and you always have to be on you toes there. It's a shame that Huss had his balls pinned by that biotch Hiddink Magic and ruined WR.

They did consult the mods, but most of them didn't share the view of you or I.

I'm considering asking for a Newcastle off-topic sub forum. If it come through then you are welcome to treat it as your playground. Just don't break my rules of no racism, gay smack or just plain abuse.

Hmmm can I still hate various countries for totally and completely stupid reasons?

On a side note what do you think of the new Dutch Unis? I like them. :)

And have you seen the new adidas national team jerseys (Germany, Argentina, Spain, France)? They're pretty sweet.

I like the US jerseys especially. The stripe is a nice touch.

Not sticking around because of no eye candy like green nipples and post counts? Eh, to each his own. I'm here to read news, rumors about soccer and non-soccer stuff, not check out who's the amazing post count master or rep whore. They got avatars showing still. Some BSers have great ones.

I am glad you feel this way Toon², not for any other reason than I totally agree. I replied to your (enforced by BS) posts to rate you as a mod with jokey answers and did not rate you, as I feel it is completely hypocritical of the mods as a whole to ask us to rate them, when they have just removed our ability to rate each other. Okay some people abuse the rep, but just remove thier privilages not everyones. I also thought about becoming a member, but now I just don't see the point. BS format is good, and so is the the presentation, but there are many places we can get the same functionality on the web.

Keep up the fight for the common people brother!!

I would give you an A, but I can't be bothered to take part :(

Exactly my feeling. The rep bar and post count added nothing to the overall scheme of things. It was just a little something fun on the side. I don't see why anyone would leave because of such a small change.

The new dutch shirt is really good. It's got a retro look to it which I really like. I think it's our 100th anniversary this year.

I also think that the polls are totally pointless.

I've been given 4 F's, I'm 100% those are people I've just pissed off at points and had bans given too.

Hey toon or Bayern, you boys ever play chess?

And when are you going to start a new NSR thread in here?

Nah, it's too slow and not enough explosions. Battlefield 2, now your talking.

And whenever I bloody well feel like it.

I'm playing some speed chess right now. Very exciting.

We're past 500 posts in here. A new one needs to be started. Pronto.
