Yeah, well, even if the refs had made the right call, Texas still might have scored anyway.
True, however I would have liked another shot. That could have changed the whole complexion of the game. Big 10 officials.

They weren't nearly as bad as the officials in the Florida/Iowa game (C-USA refs, I think). It was disgraceful.

Hey Graeme, is there an area and/or city near Newcastle called Durham? Whenever I play as the Mags in FIFA 06 I see stadium banners with the English flag that say "DURHAM MAGS ON TOUR." I always thought it was cool, but was confused as to what exactly that meant. Help?

I found a site that sort of gives me the rules. Ok, here we go for the 56th time in trying to understand a sport.

I found some info (http://www.durhammag.co.uk/index.shtml) on Durham Mags but don't hold me accountable for it's accuracy because I still don't know the meaning.

Durham is a small city about 20 miles south of Newcastle. It's an old University town and has the worlds finest cathedral. In Durham and the surrounding area of county Durham the support has traditionally been split about 50/50 between sunderland and Newcastle however today it's more like 75/25 to Newcastle with the other 25% supporting a mixture of sunderland, Boro and clubs like Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal.

There are lots of different areas to Newcastle and the surrounding areas and each of them have their own identies and traditions. Durham is just one of them. If you went to a european away game or another big away game like the FA cup Semi last season you would have seen hundreds of different flags with stuff like 'Forest Hall Mags' 'Byker Mags' 'High Heaton Geordie Boys' 'Black and White Seagulls' and the one that we take on away games 'Heaton Mags'

That is a page for a motorcycle group. lol.

Mags is short for magpies. You'll hardly see many groups refer to themselves at the "Toon Army"

Mags is by far the most popular nickname.

Interesting and informative. All this time I thought a lot of Newcastle fans would refer themselves as Toon Army rather than Mags.

Am I correct in concluding that everyone else calls Newcastle fans the Toon Army, while we call ourselves Mags?

I've also heard NUFC supporters referred to as the Barcode Army, but to a much lesser degree than the Mags or the Toon Army.
