For our UK mates, this may not be much of a surprise, but to have a European-based player receive a 2,000-word story in Sports Illustrated...well, all I can say is how times have changed.

I also enjoyed the article. Nice to see Henry getting some recognition for the work he's done. However, DaMarcus Beasley didn't exactly help out the stereotype of ignorant Americans:
It's weird: You have guys on your team that are African-American and you are booing me.
I know it's the PC way to say it in the U.S., but it just sounds stupid when you start referring to black Europeans and, worse, people from Africa as African-Americans!

There has been a recent thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=272599) that went over all of this in great detail. As many others have said though, because it is an American publication, most likely the use of the word 'blacks' has been changed to 'African-Americans' to appease the PC.
