Lets see here, We're top of our group so we can only draw teams that came second in their group, right? And we can't draw Ajax because we played them in the group phase. Who are our possible opponents right now?

We also can't draw teams from our own league until the quarter-finals. Liverpool would've been the exception to that rule but that's moot as they won their group.

So right now our possible opponents are Real Madrid, PSV, and Rangers. Out of those three, Real is the most attractive opponent. It will be interesting to see how things play out tomorrow, i'm still hoping that we can draw Benfica. ;)

The teams we could draw:
Bayern Munich or Juventus
Real Madrid
Rangers
PSV
Udinese/Panathinaikos/Werder Bremen
Benfica/Lille/Villarreal
even if in 2nd placein their group: no ManU, no Chelsea

Minus Bayern or Juve, it doesn't look too bad. We've avoided Milan, either Bayern or Juve, Barcelona, Inter, even Lyon.

here are my guess for possible teams:
PSV
Real Madrid
Rangers
Juventus
Werder Bremen
The other 2nd place teams we can't face:
Chelsea
ManU
Ajax
Of course this is all based on my predictions for tomorrow. Instead of Juve we could have Bayern (If Juve can overturn the goal difference). Instead of W.Bremen we could get Udinese but only if they beat or draw with Barca. Instead of ManU in 2nd, you could have any of the other teams in their group.

I'm pretty sure we can't possible face the Greeks since they can't make the next round. They lose out on tiebreakers.

I also want either Rangers or Real, just because I think Real would allow us to really open things up and play at our tempo. Not to mention that team is a total train wreck. As for Rangers, they're a decent side, but nothing too difficult for us.
I do have my suspicions though that we'll "randomly" draw Juve, just so we end up playing Vieira.

Real and Rangers can both be considered a "train wreck." Rangers lack the class and confidence that good European sides possess. Real has class, and the iffiest of performers (with talent) can rise in Europe. Rangers only qualified because the core of the 03-04 Porto team has been sold off. Right now - looking at the possible opponents - my druthers would be Rangers. Let's wait to see what tomorrow brings.

I think Real Madrid would make for a really electric match.

I wouldn't mind getting Real Madrid, Werder Bremen, Benfica, Lille or PSV. I think Rangers would be tough as they'll play a fast, physical game and we all know how much our team likes that . The only other caveat to that list is we have no idea what Real Madrid might look like by February with a new manager and surely some new signings coming in.

Rangers-even though they made it this far, it is chaos in their camp. People are calling for Mcgliesh's head, not doing well in the Scottish Prem. I say we strike this beast while it is down and pave a way into the quater finals!
Oh and i also gives me another chances to see Arsenal play while I'm here in Scotland and remind all the celtic and ranger supporters I know why I think their team and league is complete utter crap. :D

C'mon we all want Rangers, lets be honest!!
We had it easy in the groups stages though so im guessing we could get Bayern or Juve!

Beating Real is a real possibility now & could be a real shot in the arm for the team. Build confidence. Beating Rangers would continue the line of having an easy route. I hope for Real. Wenger needs to see if his team can step up or needs better players. The soon we see if they are up to task, the better.
