I got back last Friday from my trip...what a great time. My first time ever out of the country! Spent the first 4.5 days in London and the other 2 up in the Cotswolds with my design clients. I'm just now recovered from the jet lag and got some photos up. Tried to get some wallpaper-worthy images of the Home of Football.
Had a complete blast at the Blackburn and Reading matches. Everyone was hospitable and showed me a good time. Hung out with Rick B and his girl, Dave M, Jeff Lancaster, SLO_Gunner and his cousin and all of the other Gooners at the Tavern.
We even met this goofy dude Saturday who had gotten ripped off by a tout and was proclaiming how Blackburn was his second favorite team and he had to see both of his favorite teams play. Weird.
Being in Highbury was a dream come true - singing the songs, watching two Arsenal wins and having an amazing sporting experience.

Congrats on the first visit. It looks like you found it a bit chilly.

OMG - funny ********. That's a Nike Sphere Thermal Jacket. It's REALLY warm, but really lightweight. I think it's designed for runners in winter - originally about $130 - I got it for $40. Kept me warm at the Home of Football!

Yeah, but you need a Delorean to make it work. And do you know anyone with a Delorean? Me either! :p

Actually, I did see one Delorean when I was a kid. We had just moved to Pittsburgh and were living in an apartment while our house was being finished. This guy down the road had one, which we thought was the coolest thing ever. He'd have it in his driveway with the doors opened up all the time. I asked my dad why there weren't that many of them and he goes "It's very simple, son. A car can look really nice, but if it drives like shit, people don't want to buy it!"
