Not many people these days remember that. Heck, even George H.W. Bush who served in WWII made a speach on Sept. 7th years ago.

it's a shame really.
i didn't see anyone from the VFW selling poppies on Veteren's Day. i was not happy about that.

Come to think of it, I didn't see any either. However, there were some guys from VFW in front of the supermarket on 4th of July selling small little paper flags. I ALWAYS give those guys a bit of cash, even when I had long hair and wore tie-dyes 7 days a week.

Was it done on Pearl Harbor day or for Veteran's Day? Either way, it has been awhile since I've seen them here in the States. Many people were wearing them in England when I was over this Fall.

i think Veteren's Day. My Dad used to come home from work with one on and my mom would buy one and put it on the rearview mirror in the car.

they only have one...self titled 'Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!' you can buy it from insound...it is probably my pick for fav album of 2005. Everytime I listen to it, I love it even more!
