That sucks. That £50 could have been used for something much greater than a stupid ticket. :p

Yeah, we could have gone to a couple Leeds games... or bought one ticket for Arsenal... :)

great minds must think alike as I did the same thing for a while back in 98 too...
thumbs up

i wish there was a thumbs up emoticon.

i've seen the Flecktones twice in concert and I've been blown away both times. Once was at Ravinia, which is outside of Chicago and is where the Symphony goes for the summer. 4th row center stage because they are clients of my Dad's law firm. The second time was at Symphony Center in Chicago. best acoustics ever.

oh I thought you saw them open for DMB....

I've been fortunate to see them open for DMB 3 times...12.31.96 (the sickest LIOG ever), 6.3.97, and 11.28.98 and one B/Flectones show at a Jazz Fest in Norfolk, VA

I've had that Big Country tune on a couple mixes...its a very well written song. That Bela is an amazing musician.

Right now I've got the Old 97's on to bring the mood back around.

I love those guys.

I actually met Bela Fleck back in 1997. I was working at Borders in Wilmington when he and Tony Trishka(sp?) came to play an acoustic show at the Arden Theater. They did an in store that afternoon, and I got to talk to him for a while, got pictures with him, and he signed my copy of "Live Art."

Then, he and Tony got massages from the woman I was kinda-seeing back then. No word on whether or not she gave them happy endings, but we stopped seeing each other shortly thereafter.

I have nothing against but I don't really like him either. Doesn't do it for me. This was more recent..in 99 I think. Plus they were getting over the loss of Howard then, it seemed.
