I thought this quote was an amusing non sequitur, seeing as the article is about Phil praising Beattie's recent play... Seems like old Phil is a little unsure of his positioning both on and off the pitch! Can you get booked for dangerous shopping? :D
From evertonfc.com (http://www.evertonfc.com/news/index.php?page_id=8277):
"I tried to celebrate our win by doing a spot of Christmas shopping on the Sunday. I have to say, though, it was an absolute disaster. When you're crashing into everyone with your buggy, it turns into a bit of a nightmare!"

So you actually expect us to believe that it was the latin that made you nuts?! Who's to say the two are related...?
Sounds like post hoc ergo propter hoc to me! ;)

No thanks! I could barely handle french...although, I did take a couple of semesters of Chinese in college. Amazing what one will do for a woman (my girlfriend at the time was Chinese)...

No big loss...Grammar is over-rated. Here's proof:
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you CAN make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master - - that's all.'
