I'm sick of this "scatter gun" approach! We all know "someone" must be to blame for the Bolton defeat - it's time we had a democratic vote as to who we should slag off.

So who is it this week? Cygan? Gilberto? Wenger? Reyes? Pires? Henry? Sammels?

If we can narrow it down to one person I'm sure that those of us who go to the games can boo and hiss every time he touches the ball! That way we can make it clear to the powers that be that a 10 game unbeaten run isn't good enough! We are Arsenal and we are entitled to win every game!

PS - I considered making this a poll but I thought some people might actually vote!

Here, here and here again.

I am so bloody tempted to just bin the doom mongering threads that come up after a game. It's great that "No 1 Arsenal Fan" takes the lead as always in saying we're going to finish 5th.........

n 1: a person who backs a politician or a team etc.; "all their supporters came out for the game"; 2: someone who supports or champions something [syn:

Time to start putting this into practice I think, I'm not going to go on about some people on here being 'glory hunters' or only being fans for a short while, I'm glad to see anyone support my team.

But some people on here have had it far to easy, it's times like these, (although I don't think things are that bad)when people need to stand up and be counted. Remember The Arsenals not like a marriage, it's for life.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!

What really kills me is that we have a ten-match unbeaten run, and the boards are fairly quiet. We lose one match (granted, it's to Bolton), and suddenly this place goes nuts. I'm convinced that there are certain people who only post on these boards when we lose! I almost want to start keeping a list so that, when we do win something, I can put up a list of those who thought we couldn't do it.

And check the fifth and seventh spots below us as well. Though as I understand the history those probably weren't seen as particularly big rivals in those days?

Chelsea relegated??? I'm guessing that was before the days of unlimited funds!

I was at Highbury on this night!!

"A hastily rearranged fixture against Leeds United on Thursday May 5th 1966, on the very same night that Liverpool were playing against Borrusia Dortmund in the European Cup Winners Cup Final (shown live on television) combined with unforeseen results. Well, if you add Arsenal dismal season's form (they finished 14th) then you get a clearer picture of reasons for apathy. The fixture attracted only 4,544 spectators the lowest since the First World War. Amazingly, the visitors Leeds United were 2nd in the League at the time. I suppose the missing spectators could count themselves lucky, as Arsenal lost 3-0. A victory two days later against Leicester City elevated Arsenal to 14th place, our lowest League placing since 1930!"

Hate to say it guys, but it looks like making excuses - "We've had it good for a while, its OK to be bad for a little."

Sorry guys, not good enough. We are the Arsenal. We play like warriors. We expect to win every year, every year. When we lose, we lose in a titanic battle and we hate it and beat them blue the next time. We are proud, full of pride to stand on foreign stands on frigid nights watch our team beat up on ManUre, West Ham & all comers. We are Gunners.

Now we have established this, let all those "pretenders" who claim to be Arsenal player stand up & be counted. We need to see passion, fire, & Pay Parlor-like committment. Let this be the final straw.

Most of the whole team played like crap with tons of bad passing and poor defending. Also, Bolton were really up for the match and were taking it to the Arse. Shite happens, but I don't think the team is through for the season. The Arsenal have been playing some really great football of late, even with injuries to both LB's. Bolton was a stumble, not a complete collapse as some would suggest.

If there has ever been a time to be a supporter and show faith and promise in the team, it is now.

Boring, boring Arsenal...pfft! LOL

I think we're all missing the obvious answer here. The blame should be on Vieira. Isn't that what we've been blaming every other damn thing on this season? ;)

Seriously though, I don't think so much should be read into the conversations on the boards. Yall know how this works. The "bad" is the only thing that makes the news. So you've got a board composed of fans who want to commiserate about something, but don't really have much to talk about when things are all copacetic. I really don't think they are all "gloom and doom" or unsupportive. I think it has more to do with simply wanting something Arsenal-related to discuss.

Well in an attempt to change the subject... my girlfriend bought a snowboard off ebay last week, and we found out yesterday the seller was a Chelsea supporter.

a) Should I stop her using it ?

b) burn it for firewood

c) draw a big picture of the cup on it, and run around pretending we got our trophy back from Chelsea.

d) ditch my girlfriend

or e) Just thank the lord, it wasn't owned by a Spurs supporter!

5th place...I wish. You guys do realize that we haven't reached the "40 points and safety" level yet. Maybe once we secure our return to the top flight next season, I'll start worrying about pushing on for a european spot.

Not that I an conceding first place, but the battle for second is still an open race. How someone can say we won't finish second this year this early on is beyond me.

Geez, that's a tough one. If she knew before the purchase that it was from a Chelsea supporter, then you should DEFINITELY ditch her. If not, then this is obviously a fraudulent sale; however, if your girlfriend was a good faith purchaser for value, she still holds good title. So I would keep the board and be proud of skimming such a good deal from a chav.

Ok, I've bended a few things here, but can't you tell I've been studying my property law today? LOL

f) take it to a professional shop, have it painted red and get the Arsenal logo painted on it. You can then tell your girlfriend you did it for her as a Christmas present. Two birds killed with one stone!
