Ricardo Clark and Chris Rolfe have been voted on, replacing Clint Dempsey and Taylor Twellman. Clark is one player that the BS Rabble obviously puts a higher value on than the Bruce. Any eventual second-guessing on that score will be well-founded.

We are now taking votes to remove one of the 23 listed below. Remember Status Quo is on the ballot.

Keller, Howard, Hahnemann
Cherundolo, Onyewu, Lewis, Bocanegra, Hejduk, Gibbs, Spector, Berhalter
Mastroeni, O'Brien, Reyna, Beasley, Convey, Ralston, Clark
Donovan, Johnson, McBride, Wolff, Rolfe

With respect to injuries, an injury that makes it unlikely that a player can be near 100% next June should be taken into account when voting. Short-term injuries obviously should not. Remember we are choosing a squad for June not next week. Also please vote based upon what YOU would do rather than what you think Arena will do. Have at it.

Hejduk
This team is nearly right, I think now we're arguing over very much in the air positions right wide midfielder, backup DM and backup RB which are still not settled in Bruce's mind imo.

Hejduk. For me, it's always Hejduk.

Cobi is better than Ralston.
Frankie can play, we need him in the locker room and on the field in a pinch.

Rolfe.

He hasn't earned this. Come on, lads.

Frankie can play, we need him in the locker room and on the field in a pinch.IMO, that was 2002. If he does well in camp, therefore starts & lights it up in the friendlies, I take it all back. Otherwise, bring in a younger guy. The bubble players is where we really should have youth. McBride, Reyna....doesn't matter that they're over 30.

I say keep Hejduk (he's still fast and tenacious) and dump Ralston (he's boring and not really up for the WC level in my opinion).

Sorry....but there is no way I would pick Rolfe over Twellman.....nor is there anyway I would pick Clark over Dempsey...so consider those my votes in the current vote.

Hejduk just doesn't seem to have the ability the rest of the defenders bring to the table. His workrate and speed are his strongest attributes but I don't think he fits the current defender mold.

Clark -- is there any way he's ready for WC without at least a cap?

I think both additions were rash.

Rolfe has shown something, but not enough.

But we're deep enough at central mid that Clark is superfluous. He'd be my vote to go.

When WC2006 finally comes around next spring theres only one thing that should be a sure bet. That is that Ralston will probably be even slower and definately even older. He doesn't bring anything special to the table. So there's my vote. Ralston!
