Bollocks! All this greatest supporters in the game, bleeding black and white crap, makes me puke.

Look at their attendances when they were struggling in the (old) 3rd Division a few years back. They were shite! Sure they create an atmosphere now but at heart most of them are just a bunch of glory boy bandwagon hoppers like every other team.

Have Newcastle ever been out of the top 2 divisions? I can't remember them in the lower divisions.

ps will Brighton be bringing 15,000 to the Madejski this year like you claimed you would last season? Oh, and well done on winning the division.

I wouldn't know mate, despite being domiciled in the 'city' I have no time for the Seagulls or their fans. When they were in the ************ a few years ago they were begging for everyones support and sympathy. Now they're seemingly on the way 'up' again their fans have done nothing but s****************** and take the piss out of the Dons plight. Some fans obviously have short memories. Personally I hope you stomp them in front of thier 15,000 at the Madejski.(christ, I'm in a bad mood today!)

that's fine. I was just about to go, but I saw the Brighton bit and wasn't paying attention. Suffice to say their fans were damn annoying last year. Complained bitterly that we only gave them 3,500 tickets (they gave us 750) and then tried to claim the only reason the game sold out was because their fans had bought all the tickets. Winning 1-0 at the cabbage patch a couple of months ago shut them up. Perhaps you should ask them if they still think Zamora is worth £4 million.

When were Newcastle ever in the old 3rd division?

It's clear you have no idea what you are talking about.

Never is the answer to your question. The club has never been out the top two division's, be it the premiership and 1st division or the old 1st and 2nd division.

Don't complain about only being given 750 tickets - at least it meant only 750 people were subjected to possibly the worst ground in England.

I have an image of the Chairman sitting bolt upright in bed, sweat pouring down his face after a nightmare about the club's bank balance.
Be lucky if he could get half that at the most now.

And now Zoe's splitting up with Fatboy, that 'city' deserves all it gets. Upstart London wannabes if you ask me.

An image i get of Brighton is similar to Fulham, a bit of success and suddenly they're a big club with a great tradition in the game when the words - won ****************** all - come to mind. You lot who live down that way, is this true?

more to do with getting 28,000 gates for a couple of years in the late 70s. The rapid plummet to 14000ish, when still in top flight, is conveniently ignored. The lack of a proper ground for nearly 10 years has caused the myth that the goldstone ground was packed solid week in, week out, even during the bad days, to flourish.
