Viel Glück, Hertha.

Hope, you guys get at least a draw in Italy,
but it won´t be easy, so good luck.

Definitely not another Lens game, 10 minutes gone and already more chances than during the whole match vs the French.

All for Samp though...

Some good early combination play and Marx forces a save.

Hey, History of the Soviet Union was one of the best classes I took at college!

Decent game, but the Christmas Tree formation doesn't bode well for a Hertha goal fest.

Are you guys watching it on SportItalia on sopcast?

History of Soviet Union is very interesting to me, but I hate the teacher, he's the worst grader EVER.

Flachi close after Simunic mistake, but Hertha are going about the game the rgiht way they have most possession and so far, some decent chances

30' Sampdoria playing much better now, Madlung looks rather uncomfortable out there.

Well, there you go. My teacher had one foot fully and the better part of the other in the grave, and was great.

We would walk through the door right on time and immediately start lecturing. He would pay absolutely no attention to the layout of the room (we used to arrainge chairs and tables in a sort of obstical course for him) and just jammer on. Every few minutes he would pause, walk up to someone's desk, lean in close and ask some blindingly obscure question. You would offer your answer and be greeted with '************ no! How could you possibly think Stalin had dinner with Beria on 12 Nov. 1952 when he was obviously attending bla bla bla.' He would continue lecturing until told to stop. There were days when he kept on going for three hours (90 minute class) because nobody felt like telling him it was time to go home.

Upshot: the grade was based 50% on a 40 page research paper and 50% on a 3 hour final exam (one question for which you needed the whole time if not more), the entire thing based on his lectures and Edvard Radzinsky's 1000 page biography of Stalin (great book).

Great class.

Sorry. games pretty good, too for a 0-0, but I have to admit to having switched over to Chappell's Show for a while.

Well, it's another striking display of Hertha lacking a reliable scorer. Only option they have should be Nigerian Okoronkwo and he's more of a supportive striker as well.

Another thing I notice is that Fiedler doesn't kick the ball well. Not one of his strengths and hes almost gifted Sampdoria chances.

FT:

Sampdoria 0
Hertha 0

Hertha played really poorly but atleas they got the score that was needed. All chances still good for qualification ahead of the last match.

On the contrary I thought we set out to defend and got out of there with what we needed: a point. In fact we had more possession and more shots. Sure Sampdoria probably looked more dangerous, but thats ok. Job done.

Win in Berlin against Bucharest and we're in.
