Yep. It is good, but very similar to The DaVinci Code. Read it anyway though.

Yeah its the book that comes before it. I just finished reading the DaVinci code a couple weeks ago and everyone started telling me to read angels and demons. How did Coller get disabled in the first place? In the begining of the book they made refrence to his accident, Brown wrote something like "I you knew how he got disabled you would understand his cold demeanor". Did we ever find out what happened?
Oh and another thing I missed, What happened to the Hashasheen? Did he just dissapear after he told langdon that the secret guest coming to the vatacan city was his leader?

haven't read it in a while. so I could be wrong, but you are told how Coller became disabled. At least i think you are. As for the Hashasheen, can't remember, but i thought he died or something.

"In my country there is problem..." The best part of that was that he got the rednecks in the bar to join in. I just looked over at my gf at the time and said, "Wait a second, what year is this?"

I've been there a few times, its a good venue, but they don't book that many bands i'm into. I saw Matisyahu (sp?) is playing there on NYE, but its sold out. :(

Dammit, I already have plans that night. Man Christmas time is nuts.
EDIT: Yet, I still have no plans for NYE. <Wonders aloud if there are still tix for Black Crowes & My Morning Jacket @ MSG.>
EDIT II, Revenge of the EDIT: There are tix still available. Hmm. Now to convince others to come along for the ride...

When I visited my bro in Del Mar a couple years back, we stopped by (during the day). It seemed like a cool joint. I did see Ratdog at the 4th and B...but I was so tore up on xanyx as my bro and I went to TJ for the day  that I don't remember too much :D TJ is gross.

Update from yesterday's Dead vs. Archive.org discussion:
After the Grateful Dead angered some of its biggest fans by asking a nonprofit Web site to halt the free downloading of its concert recordings, the jam band changed its mind Wednesday.
Internet Archive, a site that catalogues content on Web sites, reposted recordings of Grateful Dead concerts for download after the surviving members of the band decided to make them available again.
Band spokesman Dennis McNally said the group was swayed by the backlash from fans, who for decades have freely taped and traded the band’s live performances.
“The Grateful Dead remains as it always has — in favor of tape trading,” McNally said.
He said the band consented to making audience recordings available for download again, although live recordings made directly from concert soundboards, which are the legal property of the Grateful Dead, should only be made available for listening from now on.
