I was disappointed earlier when Cam quoted Jimmy Two-Times and nobody picked up on it. I love Goodfellas, best movie ever.

Brooks got better talent than the NBC Katrina relief benefit.
Doesn't quite compare to a bat mitzvah I went to that had some crappy cover band who thought they were the shiznit because the pulled off a "We Built This City on Rock N Roll-We Are Family-Hava Nagila" medley...

i think it is appalling that this is done... ya know, jerry was a pioneer in a sense, in that he openly voiced his approval of taping shows and spreading the music. Who is in control of the Dead entity now? I mean, sure, we can still do it old school as i think between me, mike, and yourself.. we prolly have a million shows.. but c'mon!!!
bigtime thumbs down.

I don't really remember my 13th birthday party very well. I think it was at Skatetown, and the menu was pizza and Carvel ice cream cake. Good times. :)

From my blog (http://www.adventuresofmike.net):

Now, I have no problem with them pulling the soundboards, as those are the best recordings of the shows, and there is an obvious market for those. They are ultimately the band’s property, as they were recorded using the band’s sound equipment. However, high quality audience tapings should stay up there, if purely for archival purposes. The boycott seems a bit much, but then, apart from my Skull & Roses iPod skin, I haven’t given GDM a dime in five years. Perhaps that’s the problem right there.

From my blog (http://www.adventuresofmike.net):
I'm sure they could use the money. Its too bad that they don't look into other ways to cash in. I think the best idea would be a video game, I picture it kind of like Grand Theft Auto without the violence. The player would have to scrounge cash and tickets for the show, score some dope and nitrous in the parking lot without getting busted by the cops. Then you go into the show with a different set list everytime, and have weird interactions with the freaks on the lawn. I'm telling ya, it would make a fortune!

i do like that concept...

i always thought about creating a prison game.
perhaps a game where you are in prison, and have to join a gang, nick things from guards, start brawls in the kitchen...
possible escape attempts.. endless possibilities..

You gotta think the people behind that Prison Break show on FOX have thought about that at least once. It is a great idea.

Actually, the way to go with the dead game would be to make it one of those online multiplayer games, huge cash in those an it fits into the whole community mentality of the fans. I like the prison game idea too, i'm surprised no one has done that yet.
