Those 2 are definately the best.
Another candidate I would add is Wagner Rivera, he was awesome in the Maturana Era and when he played for Espoli and Flamengo.

Played for Barcelona for many years, very classy player. Rosero recuperava el balon with ease y la repartia con facilidad. Kind of like a Edwin Tenorio, but he was not that aggressive like Edwin. He was hardly notice due to the "estrellas" that played in Barca during those years.

I chose A.Obregon has one of the best "volante de marca".

Hector Carabali also, one of the defensive midfielders we ever had.

The last time I heard,Carabali was part of crew that robbed people traveling entre provincias del Ecuador, he was also involved in some kind of drug trafficking. But yes he was one of the best d.midfielders we had. So was Nixon Carcelen.

Due to poor education and guidance a lot of this players threw their careers away.

Dude,
Nixon Carcelen should not even be mentioned! he would win all the balls, but once he got it in his feet, he would try to pass and give it right back to the other team! It was kinda frustrating to watch him play!
OTOH, Rosero started his career in EL Nacional before going to Barcelona! He was a very technical and had a nice long shot too!

Your kind of right, but this happened to all ecuadorian players. They got excited when they got the ball, but they not know what to do with it. Ecuadorian ballers were never that good any ********ing way,its now that some have some kind of brains.

The only difference between the teams back then and today is Agustin Delgado, we simply never had a such an effective scorer like him in the national Team.

They called this guy "el emperador" I'm not sure if he played in the NT. According to betto he started with el nacho, but I recall seeing him only with barca uniform in the 90's.
