I grew up on a steady diet of West German football, becasue at that time the country was still divided.
tears came to my eys when i saw the fall of the Berlin wall.
There used to be programmes broadcast each afternoon during the summer vacations that showed diferent villages competing against each other in different fun games and activities.
My favourite team during those days was Borussia M'gladbach. In the 1980's they were a very tough and very good team.
In many ways this is going to be a dream come thru as I always wanted to visit Germany.
