I am plan on attending the WC in Germany because my little country Trinidad and Tobago will be in their First World Cup.

I want to rent a house/apartment/flat somewhere in Germany for 2 weeks.

Any ideas where I can find a website etc. advertising short term rentals etc?

This is the difficultes way.

To rent a house is very (I mean really very) expensive.
An Appartement is not cheap to, cause it`s season here.

The best way is to rent a room or two in a village or small town.
They've good prices and are friendly and you`ll get 1st service for a 3rd services price. What I want to say is, the money you save you can spend to travel and eat in Restaurants where you want in Germany, thats the money diff.
Don`t missunderstood me, I don`t wanna say you don`t have money.
I want only say for what you get the best.

Maybe you could rent a trailer and a few tents and go camping somehwere. renting a house or an appartment may be a bit difficult. The only thing possible I know are hotels or maybe sleep over at someone else's house, that's very common for fairs and exponations. But I don't think you can find someone with enough room for 7 people...
only leaves hotels. Youth hostels in general are cheap, I would try those (Jugendherbergen in German)

Hello,
if you come over with your family, I recommend a youth hostel! German youth hostels are usually a very good adress if you travel with a group (or family) and want a good value for money accomodation.

Some of these houses are very close to hotel standard, especially the new or renovated ones.
If you happen to travel to Kaiserslautern, I'd suggest to choose the youth hostel in the nearby small town Neustadt an der Weinstraße.

Just to back up the youth hostel option: if you pick a good one, the facilities can be excellent indeed.

These examples are in Frankfurt, but on that site you can find appartments in every bigger german city. The prices vary as you can see, but it`s less expensive then a hotel. Unfortunatly the site is german only.

Or rent a big camper, it`s not so expensive in Germany.

You`ll get for 150 € per day.
For all 7 people.
