CRE's take:

What will happen in the future, who knows, but Romero pulled something similar 20 years ago and formed a new team which base won 5 championships in 10 years and got us to our first Libertadores final. Hopefully this time history will repeat itself.

More news.

Walter Ayovi Corozo is out as well. Retired on his own will (guess all his drinking buddies left).

Cevallos, pissed at Romero and promises to qualify to Libertadores.

Good riddance, wanker).

Y Romero no aprende, ahora quiere a Candelario. Cuando van a entender, los jugadores de Emelec no sirven para Barcelona, no sienten la camiseta, they hate us. Idiots.

They should of kicked him out ages ago. This is good, Barcelona necesita Renovacion.

ive been following this huge Barcelona story on Canal1 (GOD BLESS SATELITE), and all i can say is WOW. This is not good for la seleccion, el Tin has not been known for his partying ways before, or has he?? I happened to watch the LDU vs Barcelona game, and i couldn't believe how indisciplined el Tin acted. He let his team down by arguing with the ref, and saying who knows what to him. On top of that, the referee was VERY patient with him, he took a lot of trash before sending him off. Furthermore, this situation begs the question, what is going to happen with El Tin now? How about Villafuerte? Even Cevallos seems offended by what management has done, will he be gone soon too? Nevertheless, i admit that i have not really followed our country's league, now that i have access to live games (once again THANKGOD FOR SATELITE), i have been following most of LDU's, Barcelona's, and el Nacional's games. Barcelona for one reason or the other, has really sparked my interest. I think i have become a part of Barcelona's hinchada , oh oh. With that said i am very interested in seeing what happens with this situation, all i know for now... this is not good for our Seleccion.

He can negotiate contract with whomever he wants, the problem is, it is hghly unlikely a foreign club is gonna want to sign him since he still have problems with injuries and he said he will be retiring from Futbol after the World Cup.

ISIDRO, PLEASE, NO EMELEC PLAYERS.

Que verguenza!!!!! I see that nothing has changed in Guayaquil especially with the Footballers. Doesn't look good for your national team if those players are not practicing football on a regular basis.

yes, futbol in Guayaquil is in it's rough phase. I hope that they will come back to become powerful teams soon. but it looks bad and hard to see this problem dealt with overnight. it might take some time.

The first thing they have to do is(equipos ecuatorianos in general) stop getting players that already have been around. For example un argentino has a very impressive resume, played in the big teams in his country, but has nothing left to give so they go to ecuador a robarse el dinero. I think our national players are better than the extrangeros and they should be given a chance.

Barcelona's game last night, I think, proves that you don't need washed up players from other countries to be good. If I am not mistaken, 5 new players from Barcelona B got a chance and they won the game. The one who stood out was a midfielder named Justicia.

I'm just curious, where do you guys think Edwin Villafuerte and Tin Delgado will end up doing? I hear Tin might go to El Nacional, not sure how true that is. But Villafuerte??

I'm pretty sure Don Villa will find a team asap, it looks like he will remain in el barca, has for Tin,he will definitely go to a team from la sierra.
