Realistically, I don't think Pekerman is going to look at any more goalies besides Abbondanzieri, Lux, and Franco. Is anyone else a little bothered by the goalie situation? I don't have complete confidence in el pato, same with lux and franco. It could really hurt Argentina in the world cup. Discuss...

Pekerman should try out Barbosa. He's doing spectacular at Villareal, and I don't trust Pato. Even Lux is more in-form right now than Pato, and Franco isn't donig too well at At. Madrid.

Nahhh.. he's good at times, but not "seleccion good". I think Pato shouldn't even be one of the three, since lately he hasn't done anything good. I think Barbosa and Lux should go. I haven't decided who I would like to be the third, though.

well it's nice to know that I'm not alone in my sentiments!
Yeah Barbosa looks very good, the guy is only 20 or 21 though. I think the experience thing is overplayed but I'm not sure whether he is ready to jump into the national team. He only started playing again with Villarreal, Viera initially took the spot from him, Viera got injured, and as of a few weeks ago Barbosa is starting.

I think Sessa is the most in form keeper I've seen from Argentina

no . experiance is not overplayed a GK reaches his peak in his early 30's. maybe that's why Peker wants Pato . I always felt like Pato moves a lil too slow in the box he has great positioning and vision but, he does some clumsy stuff once ina while .Slowness coupled w/ his goof up's would lead me to choose F.Costanzo as 1st choice . Bonano, Caballero,& Cavallero have been going downhill since '02 .. I always wanted S.Saja to play w/ Boca cause i felt like he was the right guy for Boca but while in Mex he never played and he hasnt done to well back w/ el ciclon. ..... but i imagine the starter will be Pato come Germany '06

ive been saying barbosa for months now, anyways seja is very good but on corners and any centers he sucks and thats a big problem but goycochea use to have the same problem so i guess you can still be a good keeper. i think pato should be starter i dont like him at all but out of the list he has the most experience i want to say montoya but no one gives him a shot so he has zero experience outside the americas. sessa is not consistant he plays great a couple of games and then he doesnt stop making stupid mistakes for a coplu more and back and forth. its a big problem but i think that we need to give co nfidence to whoever is keeper its very important that the keeper has the support of the peo0ple.

If Saja would spend some time being a goalie instead of trying to look good for the camera he would have had less screw ups, because he is at least three times more prone for screw ups. Some of his fak ups are legendary from his San lorenzo days.
Constanzo has ups and downs, I would say more down than ups. Barbosa I have never seen him so I can't say.

the uruguayan goalie (viera?) is fit again for villareal and he played instead of barbosa yesterday against deportivo la coruna.

this is a real shame, as barbosa needs to be playing if he's going to have any chance of getting a national team call-up.

Yeah i noticed that over the weekend.
It kind of a weird position for the coaches, viera was starting, then he got injured (I think he dislocated his shoulder), barbosa played, played well, then viera recovered. Do you go back to the original guy or do you stay with the back up who is playing well? I'm sure it was a tough decision for the coaches.

After watching the Boca-Independiente game, I believe Ustari should, without a doubt, get a call up for WC 2006. He conceded 2 goals because of horrible defending, but he made so many vital saves... it was amazing!

HELLLLLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! This guy, hands down, is the worst goalie I have seen in my whole life. He might be doing well since he is playing in Chile... But when he was in River.. OMFG!! That guy sucked sooo ********in much. I swear, if I ever see that guy play one more time on any team I support (either River Plate or Argentina), I will go and buy a plane ticket, fly myself to where-ever the ******** he is and murder him personally.. Yup.. That's how much I hate him. :D

Yeah, I had seen him before in the U-20 sudamericanos and shii, and I had always said he was Argentina's future goalie.. Great goalie.. I would love to see him wear "la celeste y blanca" (well not really.. since he's goalie hed probably wear "la negra" :P), atleast in some friendly match before the WC.

There's friendly in the works using only Argentina based players, and I hope Peker starts him.

"Si pienso en la selección y no en Independiente, puedo golpearme", dijo el arquero, que es pedido para ir al Mundial
