Where in philadelphia will this draft take place? Can anyone go?

The MLS Super Draft is conducted live at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America annual meeting which will be held in Philly this year at the convention center. See their website at www.nscaa.com. You can contact them to find out about attendance.

well, some one needs to get some details here, so we can make a major presence at the draft....
nah, not like the wip run we want rickey one...

starts at 12pm on friday January 20th and is supposed to be 4 hours long. I'm not sure about admission though cause that isn't covered on the website. Last year though there were a bunch of guys from dc up in baltimore so I don't see this being much different.

There was no admission charge to the 2005 Super Draft in Baltimore - I would assume Philly will be the same approach. There are no tickets - it is first come, first serve in terms of who gets seats in the general public seating area. NSCAA charged admission $ to either attend the coaching classes at the Convention or enter the Vendor Display area.

Wow. Look at all those meetings and events. It looks like every single important person in US soccer will be in Philly. I will definitely try to get in to the draft.
Hopefully there will be some marketing for this. Because this looks huge. I see that there is a "Walt Chyzowych 4 v. 4 tournament" on saturday the 21st. I actually know this guy, and he is very high up as far as soccer in Philly goes. so ill ask him about the MLS draft.

Then when we get our first pick, Lee Ngyen from Indiania, we can boo just like we did Donovan McNabb! I can't wait. Then Lee will lead us to the promised land.

I saw Lee Ngyen play against maryland when the terps went up 3-0 and indiana came back to draw 3-3...
the kid should NOT be in college...
very gifted, and might emerge as national team caliber player...
I recall the convention being here in years past...
I suspect the mls draft would be an open door event....so mlsnet.com should have the info when it's been announced....
the philly franchise....
well, of course we want convey and albright and olsen....mls rigs all the player movements anyway...

Each year Super Draft provides a list of players they think will be drafted. However, it is rarely accurate. Last year only half of the players on the list were even drafted. Does anyone know where there is list of players expected to be drafted? Is there a thread on this in another forum?

I also have the early list MLS made of draftable people, the one they voted on for the combine. So at least I will make sure everyone on that list is on my rankings. Which is about the best I can do until I manage to get my hands on the entire draft pool list.

Only thing is, I suspect Lee might end up in Holland. ;)

11:00 AM - new adidas ball and uniform unveilings
12:00 PM - SuperDraft presented by adidas (broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel)
Where: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Convention Center during the NSCAA Convention, 300 Level Ballroom

What else: Two separate terraces outside the Draft room will be held for fan groups to rally prior to the event. MLS will reserve up to 50 prime seats each for DC and MetroStars supporters. MLS will provide 50 MLS/adidas shirts for each of the fan groups. The FSC cameras will cover the groups during the draft, and may seek comment after picks.
How: There is no admission charge to enter the convention center or the ballroom where the SuperDraft will occur.
Other: During the ball and uniform unveiling, adidas will be giving away mini-balls and other gear.

What sucks is I was going to be right there with you guys for all this cause I work at night. Of course now my job has me going to training for 2 weeks starting on the 16th so I can't go. Damn job getting in the way of fun.
