There is finally a game during the week, so I can listen at work.

Currently 1-0 City over Doncaster. Sun Jihai hit the post in 2nd half injury time, but they needed a penalty in extra time to take the lead.

Nedum Onuoha has just been sent off for a challenge on the Doncaster keeper, who had to be substituted out.

I'm listening on MCFC TV, which costs, but it apparently is also available through BBC Five online.

Only about ten minutes left.

Why is the sky blue? Why are we cursed to be the EPL's equivalent of the Boston Red Sox, Brooklyn Dodgers and Buffalo Bills combined? Why does the ball magically touch someone's hand in the dying moments two games in a row? Why does Sibierski, and (today) Sun Ji Hai get tremendous openings and make world class strikes that hit the posts?

In short...why does God hate us? :-P

This bothers me.

It took Manchester City more than 100 minutes to defeat Doncaster. If you look at the tables, Doncaster is number 66 and Manchester City is number 5 right now.

I looked at the Manchester City squad, it looks like a few first team players are missing but it is a good team we put up there including Vessel. Can someone please explain to me why City struggled so hard?

This reminds of last year when Oldham beat City 1-0. If this is there form of playing right now, then I am scared of New Castle Utd this saturday.

Did Sun Jihai play a good game overall? I read the match, he gave the ball away once but also created opportunities. Since you saw the match, fill me in on how my Chinese Brother is doing.

Because Sibierski is not a striker no matter how hard Pearce wants to pretend he is. He and Vassell are pretty much worthless up front. Without Barton contribuiting from the midfield (though Reyna was playing), the offense was crap.

It really wasn't a very good team we put out there. That was pure patchwork.

I didn't see it, I was listening to an internet radio broadcast. I caught the last 10 minutes of regulation and the first 20 of extra time, and it the announcers (Andy Hinchcliffe and some new guy) seemed to think Sun was doing allright.

(To defeat Doncaster? If only.)

The team really needs Andy Cole, or even Fowler to provide the spark.

Well, still got the FA Cup to play for this season and let's see how the season goes in the Premiership. Still plenty to play for.

This is so stupid

Last year it was Oldham and this year it's Doncaster?

What's next? Chester?

another shameful result in City history

sorry about that. How silly of me. When I sent you the reply I thought City won because it was 1-0 and I shut my computer off. I had no clue City would lose later.

I wanted to see the reviews and I was shocked to find out that City has lost in penalty kicks. Extremly pathetic, 0-3 on penalty kicks. Wasn't James an English International???? This is horrible.
