After today's disasterous 3-1 home loss to 1. FC Nuernberg, 1. FC Kaiserslautern have fired coach Michael Henke and "General Manager" Rene Jaeggi, who has been largely credited with saving the club from bankruptcy, tendered his resignation.
In a bit of irony, FCK are expected to offer the coaching position to former 1. FC Nuernberg coach Wolfgang Wolf, a former FCK player and a man still popular with the FCK faithful.
Good luck to FCK. You guys are going to need it........

wow, this club is really dying... as little as i like fck, its still a shame, they are a club full of tradition...
anyways, it should help us for an "easy" away-victory in two weeks...
good luck i guess!

Well, Wolf is in any case a step UP on Henke.

Easy. Bring in Rehhagel, get relegated. Gain back promotion in 2006-2007. Win title in 2007-2008! :D

Very true, but I don't know that anyone can save FCK. Especially now that the overrated Altintop can't buy a goal......

Agree. I think he will help, but I don't know if he'll be enough. I think FCK needs some serious defensive help.
I also think Wolf should have brought Sforza back and made Sforza "put his money where his mouth is".........

Does this mean that Neurerer called Henke to get information on FCK??
If so, FCK fans won't like it, but I think it's a brilliant move on Neurerer's part.

As Squigie said, one should NEVER say that publicly!
