Ok, now that it looks all but done that McBride is going to be with us on Merseyside for a few months, what contribution do you think he will make towards our run at glory, namely UEFA or Champions League football for next season?

I'm guessing somewhere around 2-4. How many months is a few? Three? And it'll be great if he does go to Everton. I think he'll contribute being another forward considering Everton's current injury crisis. And it'll help David Moyes keep the pressure of Rooney and continue to ease him in instead of have to start him consistently.

I'll say 2. He'll do a lot of the dirty work needed so others can score.

It will depend, of course, on his playing time.
Start? Off the bench to replace tired strikers?
How many starts? We will have to wait and see.
I expect him off the bench late at first and maybe for 3-4 games before a start but who knows?

McHead had one goal in nine appearances with Moyes for PNE in the First Division, though I'm of the opinion that he would've had more had that whole blood clot thing not come up.
CrewDust is right in that McBride will most likely do the dirty work, chasing down defenders and knocking balls down for the likes of Radzinski, Rooney and KevCam. Right now I'd say he'll score three goals, most likely off of set pieces. It'll probably take McBride a while to get used to the speed of the EPL game, but after that he should see good time and even a couple starts.

He'll score 2 goals, and make the players around him better.
Everton supporters are in for a treat. You'll discover why McBride gets cemented into every important WCQ or WC game for the US National team. :D

I think He will do well for us, he will probably score about 3-4 IMHO just because some of the fixtures coming up suit his playing style, that and the fact not many defenders in the Prem have delt with Brian before...He gives Everton an added dimension that we usually only have when Ferguson is in the lineup, minus the temper of course...So if all things run smoothly i.e. he has no injuries, then I see no reason why he won't have 3-4 and a half dozen assists to boot...but we will see....should be a treat.

i think youre all underestimating brian mcbride
assuming he can get hot once he gets a few starts, im gonna go out on the limb and say he can bag 6 or 7
remember, campbell is also good at flicking on for his partner and radzinski & rooney will likely leave some fat rebounds
+ as trooper pointed out, big bri is probably good for a couple off of some restart service from the likes of gravesen
in any event, as a fan from his slu days, i hope he plays his best club ball ever and sticks around for the european campaign(should they get one)

Yeah, it looks as if the 5 who voted none are incorrect as of now...I guess that means he's a step closer to the goal of 5 or more to start attracting some real attention from premiership clubs...maybe this is a gateway for McBride to make the switch from MLS and justify their high asking price, especially since he signed a new contract.

The answer to the question:
Enough goals so Everton have leverage to counter the outragous transfer MLS will ask for McBride.

considering that half of all the polsters are wrong at this point...I would have to say the loan is faring better than a lot of people expected...Way to go McBride...way to go MLS!!

If he can maintain this it will be of realy credit to MLS that it can develop players that can play and play well in England's top flight...
Now if we can only export some guys to La Liga or Serie A we'd be set :)
