Just wanted to post this up for any other DC fans in S.C.
I'm in Columbia but get to D.C. twice a year if possible and go to Battery matches 8-10 times a season.

I am in Savannah and am heading up to the Coffee Pot Cup, and maybe a game or two this season in D.C.
I also have Battery season tickets and will probably catch half the games.
Let me know if you want to link up at a game.

I'm in ATL, but I think I'll be going to the games the first weekend? What's the best way to get tickets? What section should I get them in to be with DCU fans and other Screaming Eagles? (And what should I do if I spend a day in Savannah on the way?)

Dude!!!!
You have to hit Savannah on the way. The 17th is St Patricks Day, and is the largest celebration in the US (so they say). I missed it last year as I was in Iraq. Not this year. It is supposed to be pretty wild.
We will be partying it up that night in Savannah, then heading up to Charlston the next day for the first day of games.
Let me know if you want to link up for some beers at either location.

I think we are going to try to hit Savannah either that Sunday or Monday - maybe Monday - I have a feeling we shouldn't do anything too strenuous on Sunday after driving to SC Friday night/Sat morning and partying with the E10 guys all night Saturday :D

give Troy @ the Battery a call and tell him mikey sent you. Tell him what you want and he hook you up. If you haven't been to the pub get the pub passes.

Are you going to be down in S.C. for the entire week?Yep. Making it part of my girlfriend's birthday present :D
One of the days we'll spend farting around Summerville, where I spent some time growing up - last time I drove thru it was hardly even recognizable :(
We haven't really nailed down a schedule yet, but I know she wants to see Magnolia Gardens one day and we want to at least drive through Savannah and see some sites part of one day. Too bad they tore down Summerville Speedway or I'd know what we were doing the last Friday.
Thanx for Troy's info Mikey, I just logged on to figure that out, I still need to order tix for the other 2 games.
Question for you though - will we need pub passes to go watch the USA Germany game in 3 Lions? I was gonna get pub passes for the two Sat games, but not Wednesday, the only reason we're even going to the Wed games is to help you guys shout against Red Bull New Jersey (or so we're telling ourselves), otherwise we'd be out sightseeing.

Try to plan a full day trip for Savannah. Lots to see and eat. If you haven't seen "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," watch it before you come down. My inlaws did the tour about the book-movie and really enjoyed it. If you have time, one of the quick tours would be a good idea.
Let me know when you come down and I will give you suggestions on a couple of places you should check out.

we're still trying to figure out what to do on that day. Obviously the pub passes will get you into the pub on the day but they were thinking of doing a small cover and then having some finger foods for those that don't have pub passes. I will try and find out some more info, and post it soon.
by the way you know its only $35 for a ticket for all three days right? Its the cheapest way and I'm sure Troy will still be able to sell you a pub pass for the days you want.

Troy got back to me pretty fast and set me up. I got completely screwed by buying the 25th tickets through the Screagles though, there is no discount on the two additional games that way, so it cost me more. Still, I'm used to floating the Eagles with my bank account, so no big deal (cue sound of Matt laughing, since he actually did that more than I could ever claim).
He sold me tix in E9, but said if we wanted to go over and join you guys in E10, we should feel free to move on over :D Rest assured, we will.
Wednesday will be the first time we get to try anti Red Bull chants :D

Hey, I'm a big Charleston fan on the 18th and 22nd. Especially, the 22nd!!
On the 25th, after the tailgate, and before the celebration in the pub ... you can go die in a fire :D And we'll stay in our section for that game :)

Homestead Inn/Suites in N. Charleston.Hopefully, a Change of plans!
Now tentatively staying in a beach house on Folly Beach instead of drab hotel in N Charleston (kidding, we stay at that hotel chain in richmond, they are nice!) Still waiting for phone call to verify.
this looks like it'll have a much nicer view though! It is listed as beachfront, but really it isn't quite, there is a house between it and the beach, hmmmmmm, odd, but it has easy beach access if nothing else :)

Sweet, I don't mind setting my beach chair on the roof of the house that used to be on the beach in front of me :D
Now, need to go look up the damn water temp ;)
