Angelina Jolie is out of this world.My husband says she has sexy lips, but to me it looks like she burned them on a hot iron or something. Too plastic, too fake. I think more natural women are more beautiful (that goes for men too, but thats another thread).

From a technical standpoint, more pixels and therefore a higher resolution. But the real difference is that everything is just in more detail and the colors stand out more. Amazing for watching football, especially night games. Problem is that the TVs are still kinda expensive (you can't view HD stuff on a regular TV... well you can but it doesn't look any better), but they're coming down in price.

I may just be forced to dive into HD on Black Friday... I'm not sure yet though... I'm kinda racking up expenses a bit quickly.

Is the 360 going to work with HDTV, too? I checked it out, got a sample of what it might look like on http://hd.sky.com (is that flash what HDTV looks like? Because the contrast, colours, etc are VERY noticable). If the 360 does, then I'm getting HD ASAP.

The 360 and PS3 are DESIGNED for HDTV. Reviews are that some games look terrible on the normal TV, even.

Johno, I bought a 27 inch, flat screen widescreen HDTV for my grandfather this summer, fights perfect in the small space we had for it in our entertainment center, looks great, so I wouldn't worry at all about not getting a MASSIVE screen size.
On the other hand, the 47 inch HDTV that I won overwhelms my humble abode. :rolleyes:
And yes, I will be getting 360 once some funds roll in :cool:

I was a PS1 guy myself, but when I saw the Xbox and some of its games I changed my allegiance... PS will have some great titles I'm sure, but I think Xbox 360 - because its coming out way way before the PS3 will have almost as many great titles and I'm not betting against it for having the best graphics on a console... I've already seen it and its amazing. You can almost tell which soldiers (in call of duty 2) have just made it to the front because their clothes aren't as wrinkled and dirty... the texture of the environment is sick... it feels like a step down to go outside. I'm serious... I looked at the real world and said, "what crappy graphics."

I'm not much of a gamer anymore, I was a PS1 guy myself and pretty much play only PS2 when I have the time. I saw the new Xbox and its games and to be honest with you, from the hype and overall expectations that were set out it doesn't look that incredible to me, it's not much of an upgrade from the xbox.
Also, Nintendo will release "Revolution" which is rumored to be the size od a dvd case and can play the entire Nintendo library.
