ive read that israel has had to look at options all over europe from italy to bulgaria to the UK for a home venue becuase they cannot host matches due to their security situation. How about they look to hosting a match in the US? why not? or does UEFA have a rule against that? i think it would be great to see israel battle france in the states or even some of the other teams...

The national team can't spend too much money. That is the problem for most venues they look at in Europe. I'd imagine that it would be more in America for security etc. The Major League Soccer teams get screwed everyday by American stadiums. Why should the holiest football team get screwed too?

A simple solution:
Let the national team play in Columbus Crew Stadium. Not only does the MLS team NOT get screwed here, there's plenty of pro-Israeli money in this town; perhaps they can get come here.
Better yet, how about a USA-Israel friendly in Columbus. :)

Hey, I am still amazed that they played in Jacksonville, Florida in the last friendly. Due to security reasons, no one wants to play the Israeli National Team.

KYHS,
There are a number of big-money donors to Israeli causes in Columbus. I don't think it would be a problem.

I feel a campaign coming along. In all seriousness I can get in touch with the national federation here in Tel Aviv. If you really want to try and do this contact me at rony_gil@walla.co.il
